It seems to me that our coach should attempt to build his roster at this point as if Stokes isn't coming. He or his agent are obviously playing games here. We are being held hostage and coach Pope is risking his career on this kids decision IMO. At this point in the process what is Stokes waiting for , a higher offer? My guess is UK KU and Oregon have already made max offers so what is he waiting for.

What I have been able to find out, UK has largest offer to Stokes. KU is not even all that close. I think NIKE is involved and Stokes goes to Oregon. There will be some last minute offer that is matching or just a little higher offer. Will be interesting to see what happens, but I do not expect anything good for UK here.

In roster thread I posted Pope visiting a 2027 wing top 10 that can reclass Ryan Hampton: Pope is visiting today. Hampton is a 6-6 wing.

I personally think he has known where he intends to go for quite a while. I also think he has an ego that loves the attention by playing this out for this long.

He enters the portal and is applying for a 5th year.

He played for Mo Williams at Jackson State.

If he is granted a fifth year, then he could be a decent backup guard for us.

Just curious. I can’t find any news on him since March 30th when he enters the portal.

I haven't heard anything either. He has probably committed somewhere by now if he is worth his salt.

It almost certainly will come with him.

We might be better off hoping they pass the 5 in 5 rule and Pope throws a ton of cash at Oweh to get him to come back for a 5th year of college.

Oweh is a proven commodity. He would provide leadership. And very little drama. At probably half the price.

Then use the remaining funds to try to grab a guy who declared for the draft and pulled out. Maybe Momcilovic or Graves?

Other side of the athletics department, but Shaq's daughter just transferred to UK form the portal. 13.6ppg/6.4rpg at Florida. Will be pretty cool having Shaq around the program.

NCAA is wanting to proceed with the 5 year rule but not grandfathered in for this year graduating class. So it sounds like SR's are out. I am guessing we will see some law suits coming up this summer for these SR's.

I'd say there is a 110% chance someone sues the NCAA if they don't allow SRs to play next year.
