I wonder if this McBride guy is our back up to Stokes. He shoots 40% on 3s and takes 3.1 a game. Wonder if Pope has heard anything on Stokes, isn't he supposed to commit tonight or something like that?
The train is moving....a few seats left....get on board
I remember last summer all the talk about 96 Kentucky depth blah blah Blah blah. Will never and I mean ever make that mistake again. First and foremost, Pope is coaching to save his job, another year like what we just witnessed and he will be looking for a realtor..
Add Stokes and some depth, at least we have potential and a true game changing 5 star, that's a start...

My guess is this would be the backup to whatever starting Power Forward we land.
I wasn't familiar with him, but from quick research it sounds like he's primarily an undersized Power Forward at 6'7", where as Stokes would be a Small Forward. I would imagine that McBride would play the Ansley Almanor (also 6'7") roll to whoever ends up being Andrew Carr (Donnie Freeman or Sebastian Rancik)... because while having Freeman AND Rancik would be ideal, that doesn't seem like it's going to be probable.
Im so old I can remember Kentucky fans being excited to get a transfer from a small bottom feeding school, wow have times have changed..
Good luck, hope Wilkins can play under bright lights, 24/7 pressure. Hope he adjusts to not being the focal point game plan..
ONe thing for sure is he did so against UCONN in the NCAA Round of 32. I game example but I think others have said he played 4 games against Quad 1 or 2 teams last year and all 4 he represented very well.
If you go back in the day at UK the biggest transfers were Macy, Anderson, Pope and a few others but those were some of the biggest. I would say this transfer has the opportunity to be UK's version of Waller Clayton (Florida).
