Get the guard from Furman too, maybe the guard from Utah. And 1 of Freeman/Folgueiras/Goode now, and I'd feel slightly better.
Haven't heard that they're even attempting for Folgueras though.... & They need to address the lack of 3 point shooting as well.Comment

I'd take Alex Wilkins (the guard from Furman), but with Diallo I'd take a pass on Terrence Brown (the guard from Utah). Brown is a "look for my shot" guard that doesn't shoot the 3 all that well. He's a bit ball dominant as well, which won't work well with Diallo.
I'd also add Rancik to the list of possible Power Forwards...I like what I've seen from him.👍 1Comment

Didn't know that about the Utah player, but yea I'd be ok with adding Rancik.

Jones said Wilkins is on his way to Lex for a visit.

We have to have 3 more Guards at least. We need another solid choice as PG along with Zoom and Williams. Then we need at least 2 to 3 2 guards or guard forward type of guys. Then add a true small forward (like stokes or whomever) and go after some bigs. I hope we see almost a full roster this coming year with about even (1-3) guys to (4-5) guys. 7 of each sounds about right, 2 pg 2sg, 3 combo or small fwd / 4 PF and 3 centers. That would do it for me.Proverbs 25:24Comment

35% FG
25% 3-point %
Hmmm. Not the greatest shooting percentage for a guard.
When Pope came to Kentucky there was all this talk about how explosive his offense was going to be, especially because of all the 3-point shooting that was going to take place.
I've gotta be honest...his first class of recruits brought in some really good 3-point shooters....but I haven't seen the same emphasis since then.👍 1Comment

Cruz Davis of Hofstra: 6'3" lefty. His highlight reel is good to watch. He has a unique game. Just think about the name stuff with Zoom to Cruz and such. I do like this guys game. Wilkens, Zoom and Cruz might be a good group of 3. Add Colgate guy and we would be good at guard.Proverbs 25:24👍 1Comment

No more sugar coating it, it's going backwards. With Pitino back in the days after probation, win or lose, you could see it coming. When Cal first came, immediately hit the ground running. This thing we got going on right here right now aint it.........
I'm kind of starting to think along those same lines. Hate to be that hardcore, but if sacrificing one year will guarantee a return to prominence going forward, then sign me up. This "being content with mediocrity" nonsense is for losers with no awareness of pride and tradition.Comment
