There will be all kinds of rumors for Wright and Stokes or any other players UK wants to sign. Heck 1/2 are probably from UK fans just wanting to stir the pot. No sense in wringing of hands or anything. Pope will either get his first choice or will start figuring out his exit strategy for next spring. We get or 2nd or 3rd choices and it will be another ho hum year. I suspect we are still in contact with at least 30 or 40 players and some of those guys are to throw off some of our competition.

"uconn has the lowest offer, but his camp likes Hurley. seems there are some people pushing him towards bama as well. kentucky has the highest offer by a decent amount"

Like I said earlier the negative rumors are starting to pile up and experts are saying UK might miss on both Wright and Zoom plus was never close on Stokes. Also saying UK is not in a good spot for others like Freeman.
Branham is stating Pope is willing to wait on Stokes and it could cost him on many good portal players.
IF all of this is true (which I am not saying it is), then Pope has not learned anything in the past 2 portal cycles. We could be witnessing the beginning of the end. By these rumor reports.
I think we will start to see things unfold later this week, Thursday / Friday / Saturday. We will either get our answers on some portal guys and move on or be very happy.Proverbs 25:24Comment

Sounds like Freeman rescheduled his UK visit to after UConn, who are supposedly his favorite. Be curious if he even makes it to Lex.

I read Freeman's camp wants him at UConn if they can make the money work, but like I said who knows. Maybe it's for the best long-term that Pope crashes & burns this off-season & they proceed to go 16-17 and miss the tournament. At which point Pope would be gone and we try again.Comment

But the PF position is a concern when Freeman decides he's going somewhere else. At the end of the day, they'll be fine when it comes to guards, plenty of options out there still. Even Pope is bound to secure a couple good perimeter players.
