    Do you have gametime superstitions

I'm not really superstitious but I have a few procedures that must be followed during the game.

watching the cats at home i sit on the sofa with my right leg crossed oover my left(helps offense run better)

Wearing the same.lounge pants each game (unless we lose, then switch to a different pair)

When we shoot freethrows, must say the shooter's full name (c'mon Ndrew carr)

LOL as I stated previously, I'm not superstitious but these procedures MUST be followed.

    What are yours?

If we are playing well, I am hesitant to do anything different until the game is over. I don't change where I'm sitting. I don't switch from watching the game on TV to an online stream or listening to it on the radio. I don't change any articles of clothing. When a game starts, I sit down and I don't do anything else until that game ends.

Now, if we are playing really bad, I try to make as many changes as possible as a way to reverse our luck. I'll turn off the TV and move from my chair in the living room to the bed and start watching from my laptop. I may put on different clothes or start engaging in another activity as I monitor the game.

So far I have at least avoided any superstitions about lucky or unlucky shirts and that sort of thing. LOL.

Remote control always in the right hand, phone in the left. Volume level on an even number, never odd. Lucky shirt from previous win(s) is used until a loss breaks the string, then it gets washed and sent to the bottom of the pile.

I feel like we had a pretty decent winning percentage when I wore my UK2K t-shirt

Start by watching the game and if playing well not change positions but if they start playing bad the TV goes off and just follow online

I never record a game. I also have a section in my closet where all my UK shirts hang. I rub on them.

In '98 during the Stanford game I was watching at a friend's house and he had this decorative wooden mallard on an end table. I found that if I picked that stupid duck up, the Cats would play well. I could almost time Sheppard's curls with when I picked that thing up.

So now, 27 years later, I have several decorative mallards around. I even have a UK-themed one that I purchased...around 2012.

If you can't handle the volume at exactly 56 on my TV when the Cats are on, you best just go ahead and get out of my living room. (I mute the commercials, always.)

I watch most games by myself in my basement office on my computer, so that when the opponent shoots a shot, I can pause it in the air in an attempt to voodoo hex it.

I'm not making this up. I am a crazy person.

I don't think it is a superstition but in both sports when everyone starts chalking up a sure win on game week, I get nervous. It's like you can feel the fans (and the team) believing the next one is going to be easy and we invariably play like crap. It's amazing how many of those "sure-win" zeitgeist spider-sense tingling games we lose.

When Matt Jones and the KSR crew start talking with supreme confidence about any win, I blow up the text machine begging them to STOP.

I'm also VERY careful about picking out the gameday shirt.

Weird thing about lucky clothes, though: they're difficult to figure out. For instance I have this black sweatshirt I'll wear that has been on me during some of the biggest wins of my lifetime. BUT I also wore it during some horrific losses...I believe even Wisconsin.

What does that mean? I brought it back out, tempting fate, for Illinois this past season. Heck yeah. Then I re-wore it for Tennessee. Disaster.

So, you know, who knows? It's kind like when I pitched back in the day and was careful to step over the chalk. Sometimes I'd do that and come back out and strike everybody out. More than a few times I did it and come back out and some idiot would hit a 500-foot bomb against me. Such is superstition.

In 96 on our run, my 2 year old would either sleep in my arms or on the coach by me. He is much bigger than me now, is married and such. So that tradition is over. lol

My wife has Mason plates from krogers from back in 2015 or so. She has blue, white, yellow, red and green. On game day I make sure a blue and white is on top in the cabinet. If we are playing specific teams I have underwear that are their colors, UT orange, UofL read, MSU maroon and such. Those are worn and I typically make sure I have consumed something that makes me gaseous. Yeah I typically watch alone now. lol

Yes, kick everyone out turn up the TV and not say a word..

Oh that's right, the internet and smart phones came along and now (including myself sometimes) spend half the time on social media crying blanking and complaining because every play every move that wasn't executed to perfection lol.....

In all reality, just like to watch the game alone by myself...
