It might be once a year, maybe less, but every so often our moderators might put up a thread about donations. From what I understand, those donations go towards keeping the site up and running, and anything left over has been used towards tailgates. I'm assuming that's still the case. Just sticking it in the ear of the new members that throwing out $5 a year when that post comes up will go a long way and will be much appreciated by the good people who run things here.

Oh I'm fine with that (with the exception of learning a new forum and also losing all my likes/post history.. those kind of stink).. I'm just confused by the messaging because I thought one of the mods over there made a thread about how things weren't changing and Kentucky Rivals would remain, in some capacity. Maybe it is for pay, an I would agree, I'm not paying for that.

We aren't heavy-handed, but you will notice differences compared to what was allowed at RR.

I hope that doesn't make any of you reconsider your decision to join us, but the founders of this board worked really hard to maintain a bit of decorum, and out of respect for/in honor of them, we try to keep it that way.

Not really tolerated outside of the political forum. No one will be banned for an occasional four-letter word, but if it's a constant part of a person's posting style, they'll probably get a PM about it.

I’ll gladly take a reduction in the back and forth beefs we’d see on Rafters. I do wonder if any of the Rafter trolls try to make their way over here. There’s one particular poster I hope to never see again and hope they stay with the rubble of Rafters.

The Political Forum was going to be my next question. I didn't see one quickly scanning around, but I'm still feeling my way around so I likely missed it. I know the Poltical forum on RR was very heavily used, with about 20 regulars, 100 posts a day, and was very right-leaning. I'm curious if those folks will migrate here or what.

Sounds like the Political forum is sort of.. self-regulated? That's good to hear. I agree that there shouldn't be personal vendettas, spamming, and the like (even if I have some myself).. but I also believe in the openness of forums at the same time. Still, this seems like a solid spot.

If any are interested in the political forum, you will need to message the mods for admittance. While not a free for all it is wide open discussion with little moderation unless personal threats are made.
