    Yep. Unbelievable guard play.

Like us, gotta get the defense figured out. You play defense consistently like that in a conference like this, you're gonna lose some games you shouldn't.

The Alabama/Uk game has the potential to have a score that looks like a NBA all star game. Both teams like to get up and down the court.

Weird thing about Alabama: they aren't a great three-point shooting team this season. Last year they were, this year they're pretty pedestrian.

You'd assume a team would have to hit a bunch of threes to score 107 points like they did yesterday, but nope. They hit 9. BUT they outrebounded Oklahoma by 25. Oklahoma only had 26 total rebounds for the game.

Tennessee's performance against Florida last night was pretty wild.

I watched Mississippi St. and parts of Auburn after our game last night. Mississippi St. is *very* good. We'll be lucky to hang in that game there. Auburn looked good and they have a lot of weapons, but they almost gave that game away. Our old friend Arthur Kaluma lit them up.

Florida was up on Tennessee 64-30 last night with 3:45 seconds to go...in the game.

We scored 106 Saturday. What even is college basketball?

              Scoring

              Tennessee was 4-29 from 3pt. 13.8%.

The Cal idea that "we'll hit them eventually" is a true statement if statistics applied evenly to only 40 minutes. Sure there are times where teams shoot flat in the 1st half and come out better in the 2nd half. Other times, not so much.

Brea can go 7-9 3pt Saturday and 2-9 last night. Neither are indicative of his overall 3pt %, but together, 9-18, SPOT ON for the season.

So, we see this in college basketball. Just gotta hope it doesn't happen (the bad % skew) in a lose-and-go-home tourney game.

Texas A&M with arguably the biggest win of the SEC season so far, at Oklahoma last night. A&M is interesting because they're the worst shooting team in the SEC. Very rare to see a team that's very good like that not be a good outside shooting team.

Ole Miss beat Arkansas at Arkansas as well.

Interesting quote from Rick Barnes about Chaz Lanier.

Ouch. This was bound to happen, but I'm surprised Barnes is the one to say it.

Just the 2025 way of speaking like Cal—“I can’t play you. You shoot the ball or you sit next to me.”

Saw that KenPom has UK winning only two more road games for the rest of the season. I know road wins are going to be hard to come by, but are y’all buying that?

Looks like they have 8 home games left. Winning 2 of the remaining 7 road games would mean that we'd be 10-8 in conference play at the end?

Yeah, I guess I can see that. Of course I'd imagine KenPom had us losing to Mississippi St., so...

So Georgia made the new Poll. Do they have a ranking for their home games and a separate ranking for their away games? I see a loss to Tennessee coming up Wednesday and then the real home court test will come against Auburn.

I'd like to think we beat Vandy, Oklahoma and Missouri. That's 3. If we can steal 2 of the others like we did against Miss St. that would put as at 14-4. Probably asking too much but I think it's doable.

This week will tell the tale about whether that's possible. If we get both this week then you've got to feel pretttty good about Kentucky being a #1 seed.
