What is completely ridiculous is the inclusion of the two SF Bay area schools in the ATLANTIC Coast conference. I can't see this lasting for long. It's one thing to have schools travel all the way across the country for football and basketball but think of the minor sports. The Pac-12 has added a number of smaller schools and is a much more logical destination for the minor sports of Cal and Stanford.

Big 10? is coast to coast as well.

We’re not exactly competitive in football in our conference, but we’re fortunate to be positioned where we are.

Texas, arguably the most forgotten SEC team outside of maybe LSU, had a guy score 42 points tonight.

MissSt, the only SEC team not favored today, was +1.5 vs #21 Memphis, beat them in Memphis 79-66, and it wasn’t that close.

Auburn thrashing Purdue, at one point I think it was 33.

Pretty much leaves UK to close out the day on a 8-0 SEC…… 🤞

For the weekend, the SEC went 12-2. UK and Missouri were the two losses.

                    170-22, I think.

What a difference a week makes. UK gets hammered and drops in the rankings (rightly so) and the SEC continues winning:

UK now has 11 SEC games vs top25 conference foes.
                      Alabama: 12
                      Auburn: 11
                      tennessee: 11

some of those “last 7 games” of the the season are brutal….

auburn: 9 of last 11 games are against ranked teams.
                      Alabama: last 6 of 7

Kentucky will have 14 Quad 1 games in the SEC.

                        Fourteen.

And on Selection Sunday we’ll find out if that was an important metric this season.

So day one of SEC play coming to an end, and the two top teams won easily. Auburn and Tennessee both destroyed their opponents.

Kentucky and Florida are right behind and both looked incredibly dangerous, as we all saw.

Alabama and Oklahoma are also on that second line, and they're playing each other. Just started.

Texas A&M plays Texas tonight at 8:00.

It looks like Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky separated themselves on Day 1.

In the standings—yes. But Florida gave a pretty good account of themselves on the road. Hard to imagine they won’t be up there with these others through conference play.
