Yeah. I’m still aggravated. Most get over it in a day and decide it’s fine we still have Cal. I still know he’s done and next year will be another thud. Truly disappointed with Mitch.

Sure hope someone ends Duke’s bid at a title.
To put a little more salt in our wound: I'm almost certain that Duke was younger than Kentucky was this past season.

(However, and more importantly, they had more returners.)

      Duke avg age 20.8
      UK 20.0
UK is seventh youngest in the country and second youngest in a Power Five conference. Arizona is the youngest in a Power Five conference at 19.77.
Not sure how it breaks down by starting five.

        Q: is this including walk-ons?

Another major thing about Duke: their starting point guard is 23 years old and has played in a Final Four. HUGE.

We only had two players who had any NCAA Tournament experience at all...and that was two games' worth. One of those guys played 3 minutes total in the two games last year.

My feelings exactly! If Cal was coaching Purdue or UCON, they would already be home. He no longer can coach.

UConn goes on a 30-0 run 😱😱😱😱 and ends up winning by 25. Final score not indicative of the beatdown they put on Illinois.

Apologies for my snide remarks about the SEC.
two teams at this moment in the elite 8.
A chance for both to have their first final fours in history.

That's UK in '93, '95, '96 territory for dominant tournament runs. And if they win it this year that will be 6 Titles in 25 years. Only surpassed by UCLA's run

Even though it didn't end in a title game appearance, the Cats '93 post season run was absolutely electrifying. Included the famous 101-40 thrashing of the orange stain in the SECT. I went to the first two NCAA games at Vandy where the Cats bumrushed Rider and Utah. They went on a first half blitzkrieg versus Wake in the Sweet 16 round, then a routine blowout of FSU. By '96 you felt like it was title or bust, but '93 was exhilarating.

If Oats and possibly Barmes and Scheyer getting to a final four, along with what Hurley is doing doesn't motivate Cal to get it together...nothing will.
