    NCAA Tournament Thread

Almost unbelievably, the season isn't over. The Cats learn their road today, and while the idea of an NCAA run is completely nuts to think about...there are still games left to play.

Lunardi had us as a 3 seed still after the loss to Texas A&M. His final bracket last night had us as a 4 for some reason. I assumed we'd be a 4 after we lost that game...but then everybody else started losing too.

Has to be one of the most difficult seasons to seed in the history of the tournament. Just wild balance all up and down the bracket.

I also think it's possible that Iowa St. gets a 1 seed today.

They lost to Texas A&M earlier in the season, FWIW.

There's also this: Temple was accused of point shaving just a week ago. Today they'll play to make it into the NCAA Tournament.

      College basketball, baby.

And IF that happens? I think there's a chance Kentucky is there in the Midwest as their 4 seed.

Got a couple friends who'd love to see Western beat UK in the tournament.

Not because they hate UK. Because they hate Cal.

I'd take it today. Sign me up.

Otherwise, we'll be in the East with Connecticut.

Lunardi has us in the South with Houston.

I think Houston would just suffocate Kentucky. They wouldn't blow us out (IMO) because they don't score, but it'd likely be one of those games where they just slowly squeezed the life out of us.

The only thing about Houston is with the scoring droughts they have, you can see a situation where they don't make it to the second weekend. (Not that Kentucky's going to, but if you're looking for a silver lining...)

I've had 6 or 8 people over the last couple years tell me they hope Kentucky loses.

If you're hoping for a "Cal's done" scenario, losing (again) in the first round (particularly to an in-state low major) would maybe be the one and only thing to push him out. (Not fired, just a "this experiment is over" realization on Cal's part.)

                        Give me Houston, too.

We would score enough to beat them.

Another thought: this is easily the weakest lineup of 1 seeds in tournament history.

After 36 hours of frustration with the loss on Friday, still feel we can win 6. Basketball is so weird and evenly paired, anyone can beat anyone and we a chance like everyone else..

Personally I felt we needed a loss heading into the tournament just not on Friday..
