Very sad news for the WCN community.....

Sorry to have to report that our own kynut has passed away. Norman McPeek died Monday April 20 at his home surrounded by family. He was 76. The Admins and Moderators found out this morning.

He was a long time contributor to our site, and one of our better posters, IMO. No matter how you felt about his posts, there was no denying he was True Blue. Some of us had the chance to meet his family at a WCN tailgate last year and they expressed to us how much he loved WCN and thought highly of our members. No doubt he brought great discussion to our site.

I will post a link to his obituary here asap. I hope you will all take the opportunity to post some thoughts here about Norman as I am sure his family will be by at some point to see this.

Norman and his family should be in our prayers.

What?!?! Wow, that is awful. I loved nut's posts, has no idea he was 76. Every time NBA decision time rolled around he would say he had a feeling they were all coming back. Always cracked me up.

God bless him and his family. Thoughts and prayers to everyone that knew him.

My sincerest condolences to Mr. McPeek's family. I truly enjoyed his posts and energy, and his love of UK was evident in those passionate posts.

The UK crowd in the hereafter just got another true blueblood.

I'm shocked and deeply sadden to hear this. As far as I know, Norman was the only member of WCN that I had a personal connection with. Norman lived in my hometown (Corbin) many years ago.

WOW!!! He was my favorite poster on here. He was always so spot on with his posts. First Phillips and now this. I am very saddened by this news. This community we have here is special to me. You feel like you actually know these people on here and Nut was no different. He's one of those folks you wish you could meet in real life. We aren't guaranteed anything in this life so live it to the fullest. We are just a vapor and could be gone in an instant. God Bless his Family.

                          These are beautiful words.

I posted in the FF already but thought I would post here also. It seems that the running theme here is kynut's passion. He's in the best seat in the house for rooting on his Blue now

For those who might want to put a face to the username, here are a couple older pictures of kynut. He is at the far left in both.

Before the site crash, he briefly had a more recent photo in his avatar - looked a bit like Christopher Lee in his later years.
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.
