The guard stuff has been pretty widely reported throughout the season. Livingston’s “people” have apparently always seen him as a guard — or tried to will that role into existence.

If I'm looking for a silver lining then I think we can do better than Livingston in the portal.

But that position is not the only one we'll need to hit the portal for with Dillingham potentially out.

In short, we're in a precarious situation. Again.

I think we need a good portal guard no matter what happens with Dillingham.

And Livingston? Yeah, I’m with you. Lots to like about him, but not impossible to use the portal to replace what he provides. Get a steady upperclassman at his position and maybe it does turn out to be a net positive.

I wonder how Cal would work out the minutes, anyway. Wagner’s gonna start. Reeves is going to start. Edwards will probably start. And if Cal’s serious about playing Bradshaw at the four and Ugo at the five (assuming we don’t lose him to the portal), where would Livingston’s minutes come from? Maybe Edwards is first off the bench and Livingston starts at the three; maybe Cal realizes how idiotic it’d be to start Bradshaw and Ugo together, and Livingston plays the four and one of the other two at the five; maybe we lose Ugo, Edwards plays the three, and Livingston gets the four.

This is likely all for naught, regardless.

Watching this tournament makes me think anybody who has an easy silver bullet answer to recreate Kentucky's magic of 2010-2015 is completely full of it. Full. Of. It. There are just players everywhere. UK just needs to stockpile as many dynamic players who can create as it can.​

Is it bad that I've gotten to the point where I don't really care who Cal gets because I feel like he won't be able to figure out how to manage the team anyway? Lol
