Per Mark Story, A&M has a NET ranking of 31. So, not a Quad 1 win as of now.
As I said in the other thread, I *believe* (don't quote me on this) that the Quad 1's have to do with more than NET and are RPI-based.
One of those two teams--A&M or Mississippi St.--has to be our 2nd Quad 1 win. Not sure which. Nor does it really matter...but it might on Selection Sunday if we continue to sit on the bubble.
Quad 1 wins are based solely on Net ranking and where the game was played. The Net was a replacement for the RPI and is not factored into Net rankings.
Problem with our team is we will probably beat Tennessee on Saturday then go sub .500 to finish out the year and still be on the fence of making the tournament, just can't show up when you want to and take nights off...
I do not think the team will make NCAA and will hopefully turn down NIT. It is not their year. They are not a great combined group of players. I do not think the have grown enough on the defensive side of the court. The offense has grown some with Wheeler playing a lesser role, save the last game.
16 days later and the team should be securely in right now. Would be glad to be wrong. Hope they continue to finish out games even if they are not a work of beauty.
Kentucky is now 33rd in the NET and 4-7 against Quad 1 teams.
Easily in and probably in the 10ish seed range. If we could run the regular season table we'll likely be put in that 8/9 game the committee loves to put us in.
