Heck we did that in high school twentysomething years ago. UK is doing that stuff. Not sure what Cal's talking about. There's probably some missing context with that.

Staying in the same hotel is more interesting. I'd love to know the context behind that. There was talk a month or so ago that Oscar was kind of doing his own thing and may not be living with the other players. (Have no idea if that's true or not. I trust about 1% of what I read on UK boards.)

Although I don't *think* this team has chemistry issues at this point, or if they did they seem to've worked them out. They've been a pretty together team here recently.
The Kansas game could of went either way in my opinion, we just missed the key moments to swing the momentum when we needed it the most, crowd was ready to erupt and pull us through in my opinion. The foul on Toppin changed that game, we was down by 2 and on the verge and never recovered.

Agreed, team looks better and the season is not lost if we just win the one's we should, should make the tournament.

This quote from Self is so true and makes you wonder why we haven’t improved

Bill Self: “We hoped to attack them in the pick-and-roll. I don’t know how many points we scored off ball screens – but it had to be close to 20 tonight. So that was really good for us.”

        I think it's two things.

One is our personnel. If you've got somebody in there who is long and agile then it's hard to run an avalanche of pick and rolls on that. Willie Cauley-Stein or Anthony Davis could stop that because they could switch on everything and guard guards.

But also I think the communication has been lacking on this team. They don't seem to talk as much as they should. I wonder if part of this might be Oscar's language gap. But whatever the reason this isn't a team that communicates well so our switches come late--or sometimes not at all. Gotta be in sync to guard pick and rolls.

Alabama beating Vanderbilt by 50, that's how a hungry team responds after a bad loss...

If we win 21 or 22 games have a really hard time believing the committee leaves us home

Kentucky moved up two spots in the NET after last night's win to 33rd. I actually think that probably gets us in the tournament if we can hold that position.

Win Saturday and I'd say we'll jump into the top 25 or close to.

Do you think we are a top 25 team? I wish I did, but I sure don't this year.

No. I'm talking top 25 in the NET.

No, but question is if we can get there.

22 wins we're definitely in and probably an okay seed. That means we've gone 7-2 in our last 9 games.

Of course there's also the possibility we go on a winning streak in the SEC Tournament and get it done there, but this team has such little depth that it's gonna be hard. Also Alabama is such a brutally bad matchup for us that if they're on our side of the bracket it would be unbelievably tough for us to beat them with our personnel.

Speaking of matchups, Florida's gonna be tough. Colin Castleton is the exact kind of player who tends to give Oscar fits. If Kentucky loses this game Saturday I feel like we're in a world of hurt.

Feel like we've been saying that all year. Reeves has to get a majority of those two's minutes if he keeps scoring like he has, oh and Reeves makes free throws.

I just feel that a rotation of Wallace, Reeves, Toppin, Livingston, and Oscar is a decent group that has scorers and length.

Now that Florida beat Tennessee Kentucky has a chance to do something pretty important Saturday night.

All of a sudden that has the potential to be a solid win. Absolutely HAVE to have it.

I wonder if we'll practice defending the pick-n-roll as much as Florida will practice running it?
