Would be fine if we were feeding it inside every trip down. Did we pound it inside one time? I’m really not sure what our offensive strategy even was.

Guy we’re seeing now is a total shell.

Both he and Oscar are byproducts of godawful coaching, bad preparation, probably a summer where neither did a thing and got injured, and a Kentucky basketball culture that is degrading so sharply in value it’s obscene.

Please don't go there with the assists. You're smarter than that. That's the excuse for the Mighty Mouse lovers on Twitter. He's been a problem for this team from the get go that he has been here. Sure, he'll have good games here and there and a good pass here and there but he's been a massive liability from day 1. It's really not hard to see.

I liked Wheeler last year. A lot. He was fine.

This year he and everyone else, from the coach on down, has regressed. In monumental ways.

Also there is so much wrong with this team. Layers upon layers of awfulness. Scheme, toughness, talent, skill—the list goes on.

To just reduce it to “Wheeler sucks” is third grade nonsense.

Also he’s become an obsession with some fans.

This team has EVERYTHING wrong with it. He’s just a (small, imo) part. This team is broken from inside.

I don't disagree w/you about there are other problems. I know there are tons on this team from coaching, hustle, energy, lack of talent, etc... BUT it starts with Wheeler as the ball is in his hand so much. On defense, he's not good. From the "false" full court guarding or the picking guys up at the logo only to end up chasing his guy which causes others to have to step up and stop his man which then opens up their guy. To him not able to get around a single screen... YES - it starts with him.... The one thing he does well on defense is when he fronts bigger guys. He does a real good job at that. Guys shoot over him because there's no threat of him stopping you in any way or fashion.

Offensively - it's a mess and it's not all on him but YES, he's another problem. When he is your main option, that's a problem and teams know it. They want him to shoot or drive. Watching him drive into 3 big guys with no where to go is so maddening or driving to the dead end spot of the floor... OH he gets assists - he does, some passes are solid and SO MANY are bail outs from Oscar. He often passes into bad spots for the guy receiving the ball and so on.... Just go back and watch all of the film and watch him. He is the starting point for everything.

Sure - Collins is terrible. CJ and Reeves can't shoot as well as people thought or create their own shot. Oscar has massively regressed and you see why he wasn't considered an NBA player and so many things. Put a Hagans on this team instead of Wheeler and you would see a much better team and it's that simple. And yep, I'm stuck in the 3rd grade I guess because he sucks.

This team has way more broken pieces that Wheeler. As Will said, it's broken from the Coach down to the walk-ons. Oscar, for the last few games just hasn't been the Oscar we are accustomed to. Tonight's situation with Wallace is puzzling, and he seemed to have a different look. Cal not playing Theiro tonight doesn't seem right. Something is terribly wrong, and it doesn't look good for the future of this great program.

Agree. I find myself thinking typically not out loud, if we lose tonight (which I did going into my meeting at 6:30 tonight), if we lose to this horrible team and then lose again Saturday by 50 will that be enough to usher him out the door. Heck tonight it was enough to usher a fan out of the building. lol Saw on KSR fan wrote go to TEXAS and was taken away.
