Why ? He literally appeared in 8 games this season.

He hasn't even started his career here as a UK Wildcat, but already people try to suggest he might or even should transfer...that he should do anything but hit the books, utilize his opportunities, and get ready to improve as a sophomore at a premier program.

It's wild, it's sad, and it has become infuriating as a UK fan. Heck, I didn't even listen to the game today. I checked the score a few times but that was it. I'm not the only person that feels this way.

He has a place on the team and he should be looking to succeed here. I hope he does, but I suspect he won't.

I think if he returns to college, he's going to the Big 10 (heck, maybe even the BIG EAST)... back on the east coast.

Clarke and Fletcher who neither played very many games is laughable

I want Mintz and Allen back

Might be because the way he makes it to the NBA is as a point guard, and UK might still make a run at another point guard for next season soon.

Calipari let him play PG some this year. He obviously didn't win the position by landslide.....

Clarke's the kind of player who being positionless is a negative. Because he's the sort of guy who does nothing well. Doesn't dribble well, can't shoot it, isn't physical, doesn't really have a good feel.

He's the kind of player who I think needs to be really good at a particular position.

As for Boston, he doesn't do a whole lot well either but he's got some things that tick more NBA boxes than Clarke and seems to fit more into the mold of the true NBA 2-guard.

Just can't play the game. Almost didn't make a lay-up all season long. Wickedly behind in old-fashioned player development.

Sounds like an ideal point guard.

For Expressions Elite on the AAU circuit, absolutely.

Any other program in the country would just be saying thanks for coming Mr. Jackson, hope you get lottery money, and looking forward to the rest to come back. Like many have said if there is the exodus we expect and Cal doesn’t right the ship then his time here is on the clock. I don’t want him gone and hope he tweaks his recruiting style but I’m not not holding my breath.

Have to throw another crazy-raw player into this discussion that I forgot above: E.J. Montgomery.

That's probably where somebody like Boston is.

Montgomery is playing for the Milwaukee Bucks' G-League affiliate the Wisconsin Herd. Doesn't look like he's played a second.

His time here isn't on the clock. Barnhart's lifetime contract ensures that John Calipari will be the coach at Kentucky until he decides it's time to leave.

The fanbase might as well just accept this fact.

Clarke’s not returning to UK or any other college, 100% gone

Gonna be interesting to see how Cal builds 21/22 team because players in the transfer portal will be immediately eligible and we need shooting! Cal knows he can't put the same blend of players he had next season without BBN going ballistic! Gotta have a balance-athleticism, shooting, scoring, defense/shot blocker. Toughness!
I don’t think Cal CARES wether the fan base goes ballistic or not. He has made it abundantly clear by statement and action this year what he thinks of our fans. I believe Cal will try and construct next years team on the same principles and parameters he ALWAYS has. If people would listen to what he says it’s obvious he believes this year is a freak anomaly mostly caused by COVID , his other most common rationalization has been the PLAYERS haven’t bought into his system. Not once have I ever heard him give any credence to the idea that HE or his coaching methods might need adjusting. I keep hearing guys on here say we love Cal but he has to make some changes. What has he SAID or Done that would indicate he feels the need to do so. Our program is so screwed and I will say again as I have many times I CAN’T WAIT TILL He Is GONE.

Two thoughts, if Allen comes back, after the way Cal has treated him this season, I won't know what to think about him. There will be lots of talented, proven players in the transfer portal. If Cal doesn't use this to regroup, I won't know what to think about him.
