How about Terrance Jones? And I think there was another PF from out West who stayed.

This isn't just a Cal thing. I saw, on Twitter, that of the 15 players UK has had from Ca. only four (Prince, Hayes, Lock and Laib) completed their eligibility at UK. Two others (Floreal and Porter) finished school but Floreal switched to track and Porter graduated a year early.

Are there any good Grad transfer PG's out there, or has anyone heard any rumblings of any? I've conceded that Quickley is leaving, whether or not he should or even gets drafted in the second round, but that's here nor there. Askew is going to be a good player, but he isn't John Wall and isn't going to come in and run a team at his age. I hope he proves me wrong, but I fear our ball handlers will be much more limited then we had this season.

Cal has shown interest in a 6'2" guard from UNLV. Not sure if he's a PG.

Montgomery's dad tells Jerry Tipton that he's unsure why E.J. would "waste a whole other year" by coming back to Kentucky.

              Well that's not promising.

That's certainly "Dad Speak" and I also think it's wise to be cognizant of the author before getting ticked about the rhetoric, but still...that's just oozing confidence in our staff, isn't it?

PS: why click on Tipton's link? I'm not.

E.J. is one of the rare guys who has come to UK and really not improved. If he came back next year you might see a jump from him like Nick Richards made, but then again if you look at Richards' draft stock it isn't anything to write home about.

What are these “things” EJ can do according to his dad?

I agree this is a dad talking. I really havent looked at Nick's stock. If you could give a heads up on that I would appreciate it. At this point in time I would have to point out that it appears EJs waste is at least part of his own effort. Not all kids are freaks of nature like some guys we have been blessed with. I'm not entirely sure EJ would be a dominant player or even a major factor in any p5 league.
he could though....but it would take an effort like Nick or PJ Washington to get there.

Amuari is not a very good player. He's a terrible defender and is not big.

                            Listed at 6'2" 190. That's about Immanuel Quickley's size.

As for his game I have no idea. I'd never heard of him before Tuesday. Just browsing down his game by game stats, he looks pretty solid.

If all five leave it's going to be a situation where we absolutely have to have any semblance of experience we can get. You bring in a player like that and hope that he can offer some leadership. For as average as Nate Sestina's numbers were, he was huge for last year's team.

Sam Vecenie of The Athletic (pretty connected and usually knows his stuff) released his top 100 for the NBA Draft.

I admit to being a little surprised by Richards low ranking. I tend to think his bad first two years have lingered in people's minds.

I think he could be a good pro for some franchise. He and Maxey are probably the only two I would expect to linger in the NBA at all from this bunch.
