Also, what kind of exposure do you get in the G-League? Does anyone, anywhere want to actually watch G-League basketball?

If you shine in that league you better really shine or you're going to get passed up by players who come to college, play at Duke or Kentucky or one of the other bluebloods, and lead off SportsCenter every night.

If they're really about to start offering high dollar contracts to high school kids, they're trying to make the G league A Thing.

I wonder if the G league money is guaranteed regardless of if or when they have a season. The status of fall sports still undecided might make a college freshman look closer at his options.

And, I'm going to say what nobody seems to be: we probably won't be seeing a college basketball season anyway, so it makes sense for players like Clarke to weigh their options.

I don't think anybody really knows what's going to happen in a week, let alone in seven months. Some of the well-known models you see have deaths tapering off to 0 after the summer, so I assume if that holds we'll get sports. If there's a "second wave" at any point in the fall we likely will not, or at least not the version of sports we're all used to.

I totally disagree with this. If there is no football or basketball this season then there will never be college sports again. 75%+ of the D1 schools will not be able to recover and won't have enough money to have an athletics program.

I should've clarified. We will probably see college basketball of some sort, but it will almost certainly start later and I'll be shocked if there are fans in the stands at all. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it just seems to be the way the country is trending.

And if you're reading the tea leaves you'll know that college football is in real jeopardy.

Clarke tweets that he's sticking with his commitment and coming to Kentucky.

                        E.J. Montgomery to the draft.

That's a really rough-around-the-edges player trying to make it as a professional. He's going to need a lot of luck and good fortune to make it.

EJ Montgomery will enjoy his travels abroad, I'm sure. What a ridiculous decision.

Is this the first time that Cal has a completely new roster since hes been at UK?

A lot of jokes have been made about roster turnover, but this is the first time I can remember that Cal will be working from a 99% new roster.

I'm kind of done with it all now. With the season ending the way it did, the unknown of the future of sports plus all these guys leaving and making stupid ass decisions....I'm about over it all.

You cannot convince me Cal's formula is a recipe for ultimate success. It changed after 2015 and the past 5 seasons is the result of it. Pretty good to very good teams, a chance if EVERYTHING works out perfectly to make a run but ultimately not enough to do anything significant.

It's broken and Cal broke it. Beyond annoying and frustrating.

Man, I can’t think of a more disappointing or underachieving player in the Cal era than EJ. He has zero business trying to make it as a pro. I assume he’s just tired of school but the nba is a pipe dream for him.
