Probably already posted, but this is horrendous for those in nursing homes.many areas are not allowing family visits....and while that is a way to combat spread of disease, it's a hard hit to those shut in that see few folks.

I'm surprised they haven't. My grandmother is in rehab right now, they have banned visitors for 2 weeks. I imagine they'll be extending that timeframe.

I for one, think the news media is reporting facts, but they take it over board a bit. Bad news sells and keeps folks listening. I feel sorry for folks in nursing homes because many are not allowing visitors. I think this is a good idea because every patient there is at a high risk of anything a visitor might be carrying, and that's not only this new virus. But, canceling classes, tournaments, churches and many other events is not necessary in my opinion. Take the suggested cautions and stay home if you have the sniffles.

I kind of agree, but the problem is that many do not show symptoms and all it takes is one person in a section of people that can spread it. The other problem is that many people have planned these trips for a while and there are significant costs and people who should stay home may opt against it.

I'm not saying that the SEC Tournament should be canceled at all, but I can understand the apprehension.

In all reality, you kind of remind me of my cousin who is the same age as me age 46. He was always the smartest person in the class, high honor society. in the big time mingling with the big fish in the pond. He was so smart he even appeared on the great show Jeopardy, imagine that. Went to school for 8 years and became a bona fide lawyer with a big ol degree. Problem is, his momma been paying his rent the past 5 years buying most of his groceries and now he's 46 back at home living with momma, still a bona fide lawyer working for Bullitt County. Guess who's not his President? Guess who's fault this whole Coronavirus is? Guess who believes everything they hear and see on the news? JS
I have 2 kids of my own and am married and do just fine in the corporate world. And this isn't a political thread so I'm gonna gonna leave it at that.

                  I'm curious about this.

                  Addiction issues? Messy divorce?

Seems like a guy who's been a lawyer and is 46 years old wouldn't have to move in with his parents unless there's some catastrophic thing that happened in his life.

The Governor of Ohio is ordering that sporting events be held with no fans.

Dayton and Cleveland are hosting first-round games. Kentucky may actually end up in Cleveland.

Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

                          Nevermind, there it is:

                          Governor Mike DeWine

ATHLETICS: For indoor events, we are asking for no events with spectators other than the athletes, parents, and others essential to the game.

I would point out he's merely recommending.

Can't imagine the NCAA not following a Governor's recommendation though.

Except when the legislatures force them to pay players.
