“In case you missed it, yesterday, Federal Agents arrested Dr. Charles Lieber, chair of Harvard University's Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, with lying to the Department of Defense about secret monthly payments of $50,000.00 paid by China and receipt of millions more to help set up a chemical/biological “Research†laboratory in China. Also arrested were two Chinese “Students†working as research assistants, one of whom was actually a lieutenant in the Chinese Army, the other captured at Logan Airport as he tried to catch a flight to China - smuggling 21 vials of “Sensitive Biological Samples†according to the FBI.
Oh, almost forgot. The research lab the good professor had helped set up? It’s located at the Wuhan University of Technology. Wuhan China is ground zero to the potentially global pandemic known as the “Coronavirusâ€which is both spreading rapidly and killing people.
This is Stephen Coonts international spy novel stuff happening in real life - and it has barely made the news.â€
A Harvard University professor and two other Chinese nationals were federally indicted in three separate cases for allegedly lying to the US about their involvement with China’s government, the US attorney for the district of Massachusetts announced Tuesday.
Harvard University Professor and Two Chinese Nationals Charged in Three Separate China Related CasesThe Department of Justice announced today that the Chair of Harvard University’s Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department and two Chinese nationals have been charged in connection with aiding the People’s Republic of China.
The student with the smuggled vials was working on cancer research. Dr. Lieber was working on nano-technology, not viruses.Originally posted by John Stuart MillHe who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that... He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them...he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.Originally posted by Robert “Hoot†GibsonNo matter how bad things may seem, you can always make them worse.Comment

Unfortunately, you or i do not elect President's anyways. It's those who sit on the sidelines and analyze both sides then go to the polls and make the choice, silent majority rules, those afraid to support in public one way or the other in fear of being discriminated etc....Comment

This entire thing annoys the hell out of me and frankly pisses me off. This has been needlessly blown up into a worldwide catastrophe that is causing major damage in the economy, with stock markets, within multiple industries (including mine) that will be long lasting and cause major problems.
Yes it is serious, so is the flu and a million other things that don't get hyped like this has. It's media and fear driven and it's complete BS.John 3:3

Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

Strange, STRANGE things could possibly happen if they played these games in front of nobody. The game of basketball is probably the most dependent sport on crowd intensity, noise, excitement, etc.Comment

If I had to bet I'd say this is where we're heading. The TV revenue more than offsets what the venues would lose without fans.
