I have a friend who has been writing for a UK sports media outlet for a few years. He is still climbing the ranks so he's not a name any of you would know off the bat, but he's involved enough that he's got a voice recorded on the podium at pressers and has access to the locker room. I talked to him and he had some info he's been hearing.

Green is gone if Maxey reclassifies, but that is unlikely at this point.

PJ is coming back because he knows he won't be projected high enough, but he wants the feedback.

Wenyen leaving would be a surprise. He wants to play professionally one day, but he knows he wouldn't get a sniff at the NBA. He could leave and play overseas, but at this point him leaving at all would be a surprise.

All that being said, none of that is confirmed, just the latest rumor. Also, I hope the majority of you know that I'm not one to start rumors or drama because I never have before.

      Thanks for sharing.

All seems pretty reasonable, though Maxey signing and reclassifying looks much more probable than it did just a few days ago.

Right. When people post stuff they hear others have a hard time understanding things change with these kids. Not so much here, but other boards are a little over the top when someone with somewhat of a connection makes a prediction and they end up wrong. Sure, PJ might be planning on staying, but if he gets a guarantee from a team that could change very quickly. Nothing he told me is concrete, just what he was hearing at the moment. I'm glad everyone on here understands that.

Thanks for sharing what sounds reasonable right now. Things change, and if that happens, we understand.

Hamidou Diallo will enter the NBA Draft.

Very hard road ahead for him.

No surprise. He never really wanted to be at UK. He should do well in an overseas pro league.

Hami Diallo is a case of where coming back to school for a year hurt him.

He probably could've been a fringe first rounder last year. Dunno if he even gets picked at all this year. Gonna be a tough go for him.

To me he seemed like it was nothing but aggravation to have put in a year of college basketball. I'm sure if he and his handlers thought he had any chance at all at being drafted last year he would have gone pro then. IIRC he didn't pull his name out until the very last minute. That told me he wanted very little to do with college basketball. Another example of why the NBA just needs to go back to drafting players out of high school.

Gotcha. I didn't know if you meant UK specifically, or just college.

His athletic ability isn't questionable, but his basketball skills and IQ are.

Adam Zagoria says that Diallo's mentor claims that the NBA decision hasn't been made.

^^^^ 247 & Bleacher Report say Diallo is going...it doesn't matter if he test the waters without an agent the feedback still going to be the same similiar to what Light said "His athletic ability isn't questionable, but his basketball skills and IQ are". But eventhough he receives feedback similiar to that he will still enter the draft with the thought If he doesn't get drafted he will go overseas. He was never coming back regardless that he's not good enough for the next level. Someone might pick him up around 28-35 but that's having to make the roster (unless he lands with the Kings or Phoenix!-Lol)! And once again, he will see competing at THAT ultimate level, he can't compete. He's going to be interesting to follow over the next 3yrs, see where he ends up if he's playing in the league at all. Briscoe 2.0 (with athleticisim)?

There is still considerable noise out there that Green will transfer and Washington and Gabriel will stay in the draft regardless.

Honestly, this is all mind numbing. We could get the key pieces for a special year or only see Richards and JV back and start over again.

Diallo leaving should be no shock to anyone. Good luck kid.

I haven't seen anything that says that Washington will stay in the draft regardless; I have heard that he really wants to go.

But don't they all? And not just at Kentucky. That really doesn't tell you much about the situation.

They seemed pretty level-headed to me when they announced he was testing. Seemed to legitimately be open to finding info.

Who knows what could happen if they got a second-round promise, but I don't think he'll get that.
