I almost don't even want to think about this, because if it really is just a matter of turning "it" on, then what the heck were you doing while Zion was making up his mind, Cal??

I don't want to say that Cal coasted with Zion. He seemed to be recruiting him pretty hard. He definitely was in to see him as much or more than anybody else.

But there is a little bit of a difference when Cal has an edge to him.

Which makes me think that Cal wouldn't let some of these kids just walk if he didn't have something else up his sleeve. Of course Cal could have re recruited SKJ maybe even Green but who's to say he really wants too? Cal's unmethodical way of going about his business is mind boggling and frustrating at times but he reloads and finds a way....

Walk-on Dillon Pulliam will graduate and enroll in grad school. His career at Kentucky is over.

I agree with on this in regards to Cal and his him against the world mentality. When it's easy and boring seems like Cal loses his fight, seem like he prefers to have his back against the wall.........

Again, the transfers and one and dones gets old but if replacing them with guys who can make more of a impact, i am all in. Like i said, mindset going foward is if you don't want to be here then leave, i get tired of watching junk basketball and some of these kids just aren't that good, good luck to them moving foward...

Best thing Cal can do is spank Duke in November and get that swag back, kill all that noise.....

I guess he saw the writing on the wall...

So, we still have yet to hear what Gabriel, Vanderbilt, Diallo, and Green are going to do. If we return all of those guys and Washington (Richards is already confirmed) we have two scholarships available. It seems that the rumors of a grad transfer coming is picking up steam. Specifically Reid Tyler from Stanford. That would be HUGE to have an experienced PF built like him on a young team. I would imagine he would play quite a bit at the five with, but a lot of that depends on Richards developing, what EJ offers, and what PJ and JV do.

I saw someone put up on Twitter (maybe KSR) that the rumor about another reclass would be a guard. Any idea who? KJ will be our only true SF but with the size our guards will have a three guard lineup shouldn't cause problems like it did with Monk, Fox, and Briscoe.

With all the hype about where Zion was going, and his somewhat of a surprise commitment to Duke, I'm not so sure he had his mind made up all along and Cal knew it.

Cal was reportedly volcanic over the news of Zion’s commitment to Duke. I think it caught him off guard just like the rest of us.

Yeah, I heard that too. But I wonder if he was all upset, why it got out. After all K would love hearing how he made Cal mad.

Wouldn't put much stock into that. I saw this earlier, too, in the KSR comments section. Said a "2019 guard from NY" is the other reclassification possibility. That doesn't make sense for a couple reasons:

                              A. Why another guard? Even if Quade leaves, you've still got Quickley, Herro, Hagans (if he reclassifies), and Baker. And Brad, I guess.
                              B. Looking at the 2019 guards from NY, that'd be Cole Anthony or Bryan Antoine - neither of which seem to have any significant interest in Kentucky.

Nothing about the idea holds water.

Word going around Wenyen is coming back unless he's a first rounder, which means he's back.

Since Cal has been here have we had a single minute where a freshman hasn't been on the court? It could happen next year if Hami and Green both return. We could have Green, Hami, Wenyen/PJ/JV/Richards out there together.
