Completely unique.
Philly has unique elements, too, but I've just always found the place to be a lower-rent NYC knockoff.
Go to NYC, Downes, first chance you get.Comment

I've never been to New York - I think I would enjoy it for about a day and a half before I got tired of all the people. I love Chicago, though. I would tolerate the winters to live there.Comment

Manhattan is certainly crowded, especially in Midtown or Downtown, but there's plenty of places where you're not going to be overexposed to the masses.
Anywhere in the outer boroughs, or even locales in Manhattan have chill spots (the Village). There's also an 850 acre patch of grass smack dab in the middle of the island where you can find serene, picturesque quiet time.

I think 'sports hate' and 'hate' are two different things. I loathe Duke and U of L - but I don't wish any ill will on them as people. I just want them to lose every game.👍 1Comment

As I've aged, I've noticed that ubran, crowded settings make me super anxious. I love NYC, but I wouldn't want to live there.Comment

I will cheer for Loyola until they lose......I think it will be Kansas and Michigan in the final....Comment

Then they have much bigger problems than their favorite basketball team won't win a game. You just can't put that much importance on something you cannot control.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment

No. My coworker gave me some grief about UK losing on Friday morning. In turn, I told him I hoped the Yankees sucked for the rest of eternity.
I don't wish him any ill will - in fact, I like him. That's how sports operate. I don't want any U of L fans to get cancer or anything, and I hope the U of L players have happy and fulfilling lives. I just don't want them to win sports games.Comment
