Well,well,well what a day this was. I only got to watch games from about 5:30 to 9 pm last night. But what games they were!

I think everyone had to love the Tex A&M beat down of UNC. What a glorious game that was!!! I kept expecting INC to make a run and at least cut the lead to single digits. Never happened. I think the closest they got in the 2nd half was 18. If A&M plays like this in the regional they will win it. Possible UK matchup in the Final Four?

I started out watching UC/Nevada. But that was a runaway and turned to focus on the UNC game. I stayed with UNC for every glorious second of it. Also thought the UC game was such a blow out there was no need to go back to it. Not so fast my friend. All at once I noticed Nevada had cut the lead to 6 and so I thought I would watch the end. You never know, right? I don't know what happened to get Nevada back in it but I loved it. As most of you have said Mick Cronin is easy to dislike. He's just a jerk. I saw him give a very condescending interview after their first round game to the lady reporter. He could have been more of a prick if wanted.
Just the little I saw of Nevada does have some good athletes. They are not that big but look like they can shoot the three well enough and have to be a very tough team to come from 22 down in the 2nd half. Coming from 22 down in an NCAA game does not happen often. I would say that was one of the bigger comebacks in NCAA tourney history.

Auburn was such a fraud this season. I have only seen them play for spurts but they never impressed me. The only reason I know that they did so well is that they got on really good three ball roll early in the SEC and rode that for about 3/4 of the season. After an injury or two and no size left they were only a shadow of themselves. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy in Pearl too. Another jerk on the sidelines, IMO.

I watch the first half of the UMBC game. I was hoping for another double digit seed but didn't happen. Although it almost is with K-State being a nine. If UK comes to play like they have the last five games they should be OK in this regional. The only two teams playing better than UK are Duke and Villanova. The good news is UK wouldn't have to play both in the Final Four and would only get one of them in the Finals. At that point I don't care who UK would play. Just tee it up and lets see what happens. Bur that's a long way off. Lets win a region first!

Trying to get back to life I went to bed last night with 2 games unfinished. Should have assumed one of the 2 would be an upset. Crazy year!

Cronin would be a strange hire seeing as how he has a pretty deep bond with Pitino.

I wouldn't think any of Pitino's people would take that job out of loyalty to him.

Mick Cronin had the best team he's had in years and still couldn't get it done. If Chris Mack will leave Xavier for U of L, consider that a win but were I U of L I would look long and hard at David Padgett considering he has don'e well this year given the circumstances.

One look at their message boards will tell you all you need to know about their general feelings on David Padgett's prospects moving forward. I thought he did alright this year, all things considered.

I have no idea why Mack would leave the situation he's in at Xavier for the dumpster fire at Louisville. Mick Cronin wouldn't go to Louisville because of his loyalty to Pitino, but man, would he fit in there as the villain. That dude just rubs me the wrong way -- a complete and utter jerk. A real twerp. Punchable face. Smug. Self-righteous.
