Word or no word, there has been nothing amateur about college sports for years, unless you're talking about the performance of the governing body.

Something that's been on my mind:

It seems like Kentucky has a chance at being ok with all of this as long as the money didn't go to Bam's family. If that happens and we walk away with no discipline, just how dominant will be become in the next few years? Louisville is done, seems like Arizona is done, looks like Kansas is going down, Michigan State, UNC, and Duke. Can you imagine most or all of those schools going on probation and not us? We could essentially have the top 20 players in the country in and tell them to play for a scholarship.

From what's known so far I don't know why we would get hit any less severely than Duke, UNC and some others even without the NCAA favoritism coming into play. But, yes I feel like we'll be fine.

Also don't understand why we still have to say "from what's known so far.". I don't get why this is being rolled out tidbit by tidbit like songs being released from an album in the good old days. They'd let each song have it's run as a hit to maximize the revenue. Feels like someone is doing the same with this issue to keep the interest piqued. Wouldn't surprise me from the NCAA--they always pick their timing for greatest effect. But this is someone else playing around.

Well either I agree with Mark Story or he plagiarized me. Point is Emmert likes the fat pockets and will continue to pretend college sports are something they are not and likely haven't been since the 1940's until the bitter end. A better leader would look at reality and adapt.
