FL shoots 33.3% and KY shoots 40%. KY had 65 shots and FL had 66 shots. FL shoots 16-25 FT while KY shoot 8-12 FT. KY out rebounds them by 11.

Cal is blinded by loyalty. Sit the guys who are killing you. We all know who they are.

Because you're at practice everyday and you know that they don't want to be coached. You literally have no idea if that's true or not.

Maybe they're just freshmen (and not the lottery talent that we usually have) who make freshmen mistakes.

          . Not a good combo.
I feel like we've said this many times over the last few seasons.

That Cal continues to put himself in this position is bordering on unacceptable.

I’m still baffled by the last 19 seconds. I don’t recall ever seeing a team (playing at home) have the ball with 20 seconds left in the game and not even got a shot off.

Do you think this in part to getting screamed at by Cal?

Cal said about Jemarl Baker, "I don't think he is close. I haven't seen him jump at all yet."

Cal really did miss on this class.

Not a deep bench so it's hard to just go in there and toss somebody in the game and hope for a result. Vanderbilt played about four hard minutes tonight and then was almost spent. Green looked like he was maybe at 50%.

And really even if you were sitting those guys then you're putting in guys behind them who make mistakes themselves. Nobody's innocent in this bunch over the last couple of games.

This is a weird situation where you literally just don't have anybody who goes out there and puts it on the line. I think even Shai has been brutal for a good part of the last two games.

I lucked out and have father/daughter dance that night so I won't have to watch. I was going to drive out to a lonely backwoods road and just sit there listening to smooth jazz for a couple of hours while I chanted "serenity now."
Don't confuse me saying that with me thinking we are going to. But if they want to get in the tournament with something more than a nine seed they need to win. Lose it along with three more SEC games and it might be NIT time.

You must've slept through the Clyde years. Or some of Cal's NIT team's greatest hits.

Actually ran a nice play off the beneath-the-basket OOB to get Washington on the roll. Got fouled.

But we don't have anybody who wants to take that shot. Like I said: terrified.

That's likely an issue that can't just be wrapped neatly up with one explanation. Probably youth, lack of star talent, team in a funk, injuries, Cal not getting the team on the same page, etc. to infinity.

He's survived (thrived) because typically he's able to get it right by March.

I'm starting to doubt that this team can get it right, at least to the extent that they need to make any sort of run in March.

Maybe they are. Probably so. But the basketball IQ is unacceptably low. You gotta give me that at least. We have two players I wish we didn't even have and those two are the lowest IQ players on the team. If Cal can't coach that out of them? Then the season is a lost cause as far as those two are concerned.

Why are some of you so concerned about Cal's yelling? All coaches yell.

So to sum it up just not a good team at this time.
