Florida vs. Kentucky: Game Thread

WVU has turned into a must win.

This team ain't beating West Virginia in Morgantown. Might get dragged.

Nobody wants to admit or talk about it, but this team is in real danger of playing their way out of the NCAA. WVU (epic beat down), Auburn, Arkansas, A&M on the road could easily be losses. Some even big losses. Honestly, no game is a gimme with this team. The MSU road game this week is huge.

Of course, if we upset a couple of those teams, then we are playing for seeding. But realistically, does anyone see anything in this team that makes you think some light will magically turn on?

No. Kentucky will get a top notch guy who will develop guys and hopefully not push them out the door. Sick and tired of being used by teams like this.

UK basketball is headed in the wrong direction. Past three seasons are Tubby-esque. Early NCAA exit, Elite 8, likely first round NCAA exit.

Cal has clearly lost something.

Last year's team was better than any of Tubby's teams, except for maybe two and we haven't even seen how this season ends.

Like I said, I'm definitely concerned and I'm not particularly thrilled about the state of the program at this moment, but I'm not gonna say that we're mining Tubby depths yet.

Huggins will have no pity after what we did to them in the NCAA Tournament last time. Daxter Miles may try to score 50.

I lucked out and have father/daughter dance that night so I won't have to watch. I was going to drive out to a lonely backwoods road and just sit there listening to smooth jazz for a couple of hours while I chanted "serenity now."

I'm afraid I have to agree. If we can't beat Florida when they're shooting poorly at our house, how can this team realistically expect to win in that environment.

Here is what is amiss. Players who don't wanna be coached and decide to do their own thing. The fix? Sit those guys. Send a message. But Cal won't do that.

Dare I ask if Cal has lost his touch? When the best of the best don't come here is he just average? Is the model becoming played out? Maybe. Yes. Yes.

Something is off. Duke is kicking our arses in recruiting, we’re losing other top players to random schools, and the talent level isn’t what it should be.

I can accept rebuilding years, but if it’s a slide downhill, that’s unacceptable.

So I can't tell you what else happened, if the referees allowed this all night (both teams were in bonus, so seems unlikely), or what, but that's ridiculous. If the situation was the opposite and it was football those guys would have found a phantom holding call looks to me.

This has got to be the dumbest basketball team I have seen here in quite some time. Even the Randle team and the NIT were smarter than this. They were just not as talented. I will say it AGAIN. Knox and Hami are TEAM killers. They do nothing well and they start. Inexcusable.

PJ Washington wasn't hitting both of those foul shots in that situation, so it doesn't really matter.

They're definitely not the smartest.

They're also terrified. When they make a couple of mistakes they start to slide into a trench.

No grown men and not a whole lot of the kind of talent that can go out and make plays when the sets break down. Not a good combo.
