It was 12 hours with a daily draft shutdown at 9:00 or 10:00 PM, then picking back up the next morning.. So, if your turn started at 5:00 PM and you hadn't picked by 9:00, your turn would resume at 8:00 the next morning and you'd have eight hours left. Or something like that.

I believe that's the way it was. There was also a way to catch up if you missed your pick.

If you missed your pick then you had another chance to make that pick at the end of that particular round, I believe.

A rule which needs to be reviewed. You miss your pick, I say you get the scraps at the end.

I am fine with that. Unless the person says in advance they may not make it due to whatever reason they give. I think I remember Kevin cutting it close last year, but he told us a day before. The same with Will. I think they should be able to make their pick when they return if they know in advance. But if you just miss your pick then you should get moved to the end. The end of the round or the end of the draft?

              Agreed.

One problem I see with allowing someone to recoup a missed pick at the end of the round is that they could potentially find themselves in an improved position. That person could suddenly have two picks much closer to one another than they'd have otherwise been.

And I know that if I have the first pick in the following round, and some goober who missed his last pick shows up and snatches the player I was going to get to make up for the pick he missed, I'll be .

The only time I'm away is on weekends, when I sometimes travel to eastern Kentucky. They still have dial-up down there. I actually post from a Brother Word Processor.

Did we shut it down on weekends, too? I can't remember that part.

And for anyone who might be unfamiliar with last year's process, you're still free to make a pick outside of the agreed upon draft hours. There's just no penalty to the next person until the clock resumes the following morning.

I think we did shut it down on the weekends but for the most part people still picked.

A Brother Word Processor. Wow. I haven't heard of those in quite some time. I remember I had a Brother in the 90's.

I had two. My dad bought me a newfangled version when the first pooped out. The first one was a colossus of engineering and broke my mind when I first started using it.

The second one I actually took to college. I was a freshman in 1997. I didn't have an e-mail address and no PC, just me and Brother.

This was just twenty years ago. Hard to fathom.

I thought having a typewriter with a correctable cartridge was something else when I was in college.

Ok guys, I am needing a little help with this. Being the fantasy nerd I am, I am familiar with drafts and such. What I want to know is, how is this thing set up? Is this a league? Is there a computer simulation to determine stats/winners of games? I want to know the details.

It's just us. No computer simulations, no league, just us. We pick our players and at the end we give our argument on why our team is the best. You can list your player's accomplishments, stats, titles, etc to convince the others your team is the most accomplished team for UK. At the end we plan on setting up a tournament and having a poll for each game so we can vote on a winner.

No there is not, that was the point i was making a few pages back, better make alliances and get your friends on board now for voting. If you are a salesman or politician , now is the time if you want votes, it's till running on the good ol boy system i believe.

With that being said, whatifsports.com actually has a simulator plugging in statas and letting the computer make the call. NBA2k also has a great simulator but only for current Uk kids playing in the NBA, not the ones of the past. At what if sports, they have a few of those simulators....
