So, here's a start to the rules:
Six players per team (unless there's not a bunch of participants, then we could do more)
It will go in the snake order so if you pick first in round one you pick last in round two
Someone (not Will) can put our names in a hat and draw the order at random
Only UK players
You must have one player who committed to every coach (Did we decide to scratch BCG?)
Only their accomplishments at UK count (maybe for a wrinkle we could use one players success in the NBA. Maybe two)
You have to have an actual team. One at each position of PG, SG, SF, PF, and C.
At some point you have to pick a coach. Obviously each coach will be used more than once. Maybe another wrinkle could be opening it to all coaches and not just Kentucky?
At the end we can do another drawing to setup a tournament or just seed it as is. We will setup a poll for each game and vote on the winner.
I don't like the salary cap idea because, as Kevin said, it'll just get too complicated. There's over 100 players we are dealing with and I can already see the arguments happening over why one player is worth more than this one, but this one was too high, etc. Plus, you have to figure it'll go pretty much in order anyway. All of the high dollar guys will be gone in round one.
I think, since I won last year, I should get to make one selection for everyone.

Why, though? This is just an arbitrary rule that'll draw the same arguments about whether or not Dan Issel would've been good enough to play today.
If we're going to make a change to the draft, let's make it a strategic wrinkle. Doesn't have to be the salary cap, but something that actually changes the draft strategy.Comment
