Just heard the Crean firing on the noon news. Press conference this afternoon. I wonder if it's just to announce his firing or also to name the new guy.

The more I think about it, the more I think he'd have to be the first choice. It makes too much sense.

I could see Alford as the prime candidate but I think he has too many ties with Bobby Knight, I don't know. Brad Stevens isn't leaving Boston, he's building something big there and they love him.

Honestly, if you succeed, being an NBA coach seems like a relative cake job compared to college coaching.

Hard to believe Crean was there for nine seasons. Seems like just yesterday IU was trying to put out the dumpster fires set by Sampson and co.

IU fans are going nuts thinking Stevens or Donovan will take the job. Can't imagine either myself. Lets hope maybe it creates a big distraction for UCLA and Cincinnati or K State beats them.

I don't see the fact he played for Knight being a problem, if that's all there is to it. Just because he played for Knight doesn't mean he's the horse's patoot Knight is.
