Pitino did a similar thing with Simeon Mars and Jamaal Magloire back in the '90s.

My Cal Bears board buzzying, fans feel he wasn't even coaching the team last night because his head was already thinking about getting to Mizz and that it was formerly announced today. To swoop in so fast and offer Porter Sr asst job at Mizz...all this in 24hours?! I guess don't hate the playa hate the game...and Cuonzo is showing he knows how to play the game, he moves fast! Got all his ducks lined up quick! Lol I can't be 100% mad at him because he's born and raised East St. Louis, so I get it...just to Cal Mens basketball fans things went down hill quick...shady! especially when you think about he just signed an extension a few months ago! I told my Bear forum don't worry my Cats will whoop Mizz up for ya!
I do have to admit tho Porter Jr is dominant! And it was said that Romar was having a really good class coming in next yr...wonder if those kids are gonna follow Porter Jr to Mizz (you know how these social media kids are) also? I'm just waiting for the formal announcement /article to come out that Jr now plays for Mizz. Kinda surprised that hasn't officially dropped yet considering how fast everything else dropped.

It would be impossible, in my opinion, to make any kind of rule against it. That would be inviting an avalanche of lawsuits.

Lorenzo Romar has been fired at Washington.

Hard to believe he had been there 15 years. They had some ok squads on occasion but the question begs. What the heck was Markelle Fultz thinking? This guy will be the #1 pick, so it wasn't all bad for him. Washington NEVER gets air time though. I wayched him play a game or two late on a Saturday night and he is ridiculously good.

Joe B Hall did it with Derrick Hord. He brought in Hord's HS coach as an assistant. IIRC his last name was Chambers. Most people down in that area of Bristol didn't even think he was that good of of a HS coach. He disappeared pretty quickly after Hord's time was done too.
