If you're one out of three there are still two top spots available. I bet KC'd give one of those to Saban if you asked nicely.

      I said top three.

Obviously Nick Saban is the best coach in college football.

      I'd say Saban, Meyer, Petrino.

If somebody disagrees, that's fine. But they have the numbers to back it up.

But that would have required Saint Mitch to have actually done some due diligence rather than making a desperation hire.

The fact that he's won everywhere he's gone in college (and won big).

          And he's an offensive genius.

And he has repeatedly taken lower ranked recruits and coached them up into better players.

I'm sick and tired of being "nice." I want to win, and as long as he's not breaking any NCAA rule (which I don't believe he is), then I could care less who he takes motorcycle rides with or who he has backdoor interviews with on his own time.

I'm assuming you're talking about Miles? If averaging ten wins a season and a national title is messing up their football program I wish someone would mess up ours.

Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh, Shaw, Dantonio, Fisher, Swinney, Peterson, Miles, Patterson, B.Stoops, Kelly just off the top of my head would all be guys I would much prefer to Petrino.

Preferred is a different list than "best 3".

                Both opinions are subjective, obviously.........................
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

The Bob Stoops that Oklahoma fans are ready to kick out of town?

The Les Miles that just got kicked out of town?

People are way too quick to kick people out of town.

                        That might be true.

But truly elite, successful football programs don't put up with the slightest hint of mediocrity. We could take a hint instead of waiting for things to "get better."

Yep, the Bob Stoops who has a 79% winning percentage, 10 BCS bowls and a Championship.

Yep, the Les Miles who has a 72% winning percentage, 4 BCS bowls and a Championship.

I'm not going to get into a debate over whether he's top 3, 5 or 10, but I will say he's one of the greatest college coaches in America. Anyone who argues with that is letting their U of L bias cloud their judgement in my opinion.

That's one thing people sure can't accuse UK of.
