I almost bet that Jurich has a prohibitive opt out clause on Petrino after their first round. I also think Petrino wouldn't be bettering himself....he's the toast of Louisville and the majority of the fan base believes he can do no wrong. He has that school primed right now as a legit playoff contender. At LSU, he would only be expected to win every game, every year......no matter what.
At one time I would have said there he goes.
I believe he stays in Louisville.

I agree. Weaker conference, sky high expectations at LSU, and you don't have to deal with Bama every year.
Miles was not the only one fired. OC Cam Cameron (former IU HC) was also fired.
The decision was made by the former president of Murray State University. Another of that school's former presidents was once making those same decisions at Clemson.
Ed Orgeron will be acting HC. He will have his hands full trying to hang on to LSU's typically incredible class of incoming recruits.
Miles departs as LSU's second winningest coach of all time, behind only former Kentucky Wildcat Charlie McClendon, who was an assistant coach and available candidate when UK decided to hire the hapless Charlie Bradshaw instead.

Of course he stays. He is giving Pitino all the competition he can handle for King of Da Ville. Why go to a school like LSU and have to play in a league where you play ranked teams week after week. AND are expected to win ALL of them. He sold his soul to The Bird school and Jurich. He isn't even thinking about giving up his royalty after all the stuff he has pulled.
Miles is a character. He is good for the game. Not sure where he will end up. He might not be the best HC but he was always good for a quote or two. Anyway LSU will be fighting to keep their recruits. Might be a hard thing to do. Maybe KENTUCKY can get a couple....wont hold my breath.
