We could sit here all day going back n forth on whose a better coach for us. We need to show more respect for Stoops after all hes done for our team, and stop looking at the negatives. You look at any coach in any sport you will find flaws somewhere. Its the same with players, and staff. Just be happy with the coach and staff we have for now.

To answer the question, UK doesn't. This is one of those no chance games that is always on the schedule. Just hope they can get out of Alabama without any injuries. Too bad the next three games couldn't have come up after the USC game. Could have had a chance to build some momentum. Still could but I"m afraid they will get beat up badly in Tuscaloosa.
      Kentucky fan since 1971.

I think this is paramount. We should definitely give it the old college try, but if and when the game gets out of hand, we should finish up with two's and three's regardless of where the score goes.

For them to cover the spread, they'll have to get some sort of pass rush, try and keep the ToP as close as possible by having some ground gain. Hopefully, the weather is bad and keeps the differential under 30 points.

              Yes, he's better than Stoops.

But based on his tenure at Kentucky, you could say that about 95 percent of the head coaches in college football.

Doesn't necessarily mean I want him at Kentucky.

Shouldn't that be all he's done to the team?

I don't like or dislike him, as I don't know him personally.

As a fan, I judge him based on the team's performance. His team's performance has been garbage for the better part of four seasons; the majority of the issues are of the coaching variety. So, yeah, that's why I don't like him AS A FOOTBALL COACH.

Sorry if you don't understand that, Chester.

Enough has been said on this board over the last couple of seasons to answer your question tenfold. If his lackluster production doesn't tell you what you need to know, then I'm not sure how else to respond.

I wish there was a site devoted exclusively to bashing Stoops so some of you could go there and release you pent up frustrations and opinions over and over and over. When is enough enough? I am a Kentucky football fan and it has been painful enough to watch some of these games. I'm not the only one tired of hearing the endless same ole same ole with regard to Stoops from several posters. We've had FOC spreading garbage and now a couple of others want to keep the rant going. You have a right to your opinion. This was a positive site when I first came here. I know. If I am tired of hearing it I don't need to login. I just want to make sure that this is the site's direction. His performance has not been "garbage" for four seasons. So he's done no good at all? Where do you get off using the term "garbage?"

Well guys......being a UK football fan is wonderful, but I think.....just much opinion....we need to be realistic as well. We aren't passing judgement on Mark Stoops as a person, but as the job he has done at Kentucky compared to others. He has recruited lights out, but I haven't seen players develop as well as lower ranked players did under Brooks....and that's frustrating. There have been numerous baffling time management / game management scenarios over his tenure. Franklin took over a Vanderbilt program in woeful condition and made them NINE game winners....Not six game hopefuls. Is the last game and a half an indication of an upswing???? As a fan, I certainly hope so. Being realistic, I just have to wait and see. A gutsy loss to Bama would show me as much or MORE as the shootout with NMSU, or the effort against South Carolina.

                          Just saying...

I don't see anyone really bashing him but I do see a lot of people pulling a crazzed and only focusing on the negative facts. What most people have said is that we should reach a bowl game in his fourth year and the play on the field hasn't been consistently good. The word garbage might be a little exaggerated, but people will be negative about Stoops as long as he has a negative record. Fans have that right. We aren't bad as some SEC schools. Heck, LSU just fired a guy for doing the last few years what we would build a statue of Stoops for. Bottom line, there really isn't much production to be positive about. Forget about the first year. We had a great first half of the season in years two and three and simply haven't seen the kind of improvement we expected in year four. Stoops deserves quite a bit of criticism for sticking with Eliot and not making a bowl yet. There's no reason, in year four with the talent he's brought in, we lose to Southern Miss and get embarrassed by Florida. I'm not expecting nine and ten wins, but I'm expecting to field a competitive team who wins the games they're favored in and can finish in the top half of the conference. Until we have a successful football team I will hold negative thoughts towards the staff.
