Hey, I'm not defending Stoops & company. I'm trying to point out that sometimes fans don't have the most logical arguments for/against some things.
Basketball rules the roost (but hey there are fans in this very thread that emphatically state that has nothing to do with football issues!), but football brings in more revenue, by far.

Normally, this might be true. But, I think this has been fairly tame, in all honesty.
I think that the real problem people are, or likely will, have with this game is that it foretells 1: that this is very likely going to be a very disappointing season, and, 2: That the end result of this is a return to the next period of rebuilding after yet another coaching search.
In other words, we're back where we started.Comment

And no one was bashing the players. The only player that was talked about was Jones and how good he was playing. Stoops deserves to be bashed. He has been here 4 years and this is all we have to show for that time. He needs to be bashed. I question the AD,s judgement.Comment

Basketball often spends more than it brings in. Varsity football revenue pays for itself and EVERY other sport at UK. The information is publicly available.
In 2014 Football revenue accounted for 10 million dollars more than basketball and the operating expense of football was less than 700k more than basketball.
