No. It was that "I have heard from UK Football sources that it is very likely we get a high profile transfer. It may not, but the staff are very excited and feel confident that it is nearly a done deal." He subsequently repeated that with the caveat that it may not happen but is very likely at least a dozen times.

I think UK may have dodged a bullet. Supposedly he was upset about playing time, was willing to sit a whole year, and then.likely compete for second string. Dunno if he may not have been even unhappier, and not sure if he doesn't just need to go d-2 or lower and make a name for himself.Comment

This story isn't over. I was at the KSR remote Friday and Matt was saying between segments that if the story hadn't come out when it did he was coming. And he was getting messages during the show saying it's not over and there may be yet another change after Miami's bowl game.
I personally don't want the kid at this point, but we'll see what happens.Comment

I agree Matt....since he never actually stated he was 'gone', Kentucky likely has to be cautious...and send that message through back channels. What's a LITTLE troubling is that if the Cats WERE looking at a JUCO or even another frosh QB, this kinda stuff throws all kinda wrenches into relationships and attitudes.
Same thing with the kid that flipped to Nebraska....whether intentionally harmful or not, it sure can send out mixed signals to prospects as well as the team.
Old fashioned as I am, I'd be tickled with another DT or high ceiling O lineman. Can't have too many big uglies.👍 1Comment

Well, I guess it's time to put this one to bed. If there was anything to it, I guess it was Williams.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

Well....young Mr Williams and family learned one more hard lesson....'the coaches laid out a path where he can play' kinda gets swallowed by the whole offensive side of the coaching staff getting fired. Including the QB coach...Richts son.
Ya roll the dice, ya pay a price.👍 1Comment

Some of us questioned whether we would want him when word got out he was considering a transfer. Now, after deciding to stay and the thought he may reconsider transferring because of the coaching change, I'm more sure I wouldn't want him. However, if he did decide to transfer and CS welcomed him here, I would fully support him.John 3:3
