Matt Jones mentions we'll be getting a "high profile transfer"

I seriously think some people just dislike Matt Jones and criticize him irrespective of what he actually says or does. This thread is exhibit A.

I've always been very open about disliking Jones. He's arrogant, is unrealistic when describing things, and exaggerates every little thing for attention/clicks on his website. Weeks ago he hints at a high profile transfer coming in and just a few days ago he mentions it might not be happening. Why in the world would Matt Jones be the only reporter with info on this? I think he's either blowing a mediocre transfer out of proportion or is just throwing stuff at the wall hoping it sticks so he can say he was the first to say it.

He said on the radio a few days ago he was now unsure if the transfer was happening.

I've listened to every word every day and he's never said that.

The only thing he said today was with it being Williams, you have to know that there's always that chance that he changes his mind. But he's always said this is happening. There is a good chance there is another one too.

B. He is operating on what Vince Marrow told him and that became pretty obvious yesterday.

C. The player involved has always flip flopped so, a likely to happen thing in Nov turns into a changed his mind in Dec. As was reported all the way along.

The irony is that I think THIS time, Williams is making the right decision by staying put in Miami. If it is PT that he wants — and who doesn’t? — I think he has a better chance to get more of it and sooner in Coral Gables than in Lexington. That was NOT the case a year ago, but it is now.
