I live in the J*Town/Fern Creek area. Nothing here. We are in the "donut" again. Weather "experts" say that is going to close. I must say this is a strange storm. Downtown could get 4 to 6. My area, about 15 miles from downtown, 6 to 8. The problem is going to be the duration and blizzard conditions. If you have to be out, pay attention. Even the lessor 4 inches will be bad with blowing snow. Still in the bubble. So does that mean our totals will be less? Mother Nature and her Boss have a sense of humor for sure.

Question......what does this do to the game tomorrow in Rupp? Lexington could get a foot. Hope Vandy hit the road yesterday.

We were w/o electricity for about an hour and a half this morning. I'm worried about whether or not it'll stay on until this is over. We're under a Winter Storm Warning until 7:00 tomorrow night. NWS is saying 5-8 today with a 15 mph wind, 3-5 tonight with a 13 mph wind and snow showers tomorrow with a 13 mph wind. I'd estimate that we already have 6-8 in. on the ground and it's pouring down. It's a heavy snow as well (the power line killer kind). Two thoughts: I hope everyone stays safe and warm and a big God bless to all the utility workers. I don't know how much they make, but it's not nearly enough in my opinion.

Nothing so far in the Iroquois Park area. Phyllis has a Dr appt. at 10, then up to Baptist East to see our new granddaughter, then home to stay unless one of our kids needs us. Be safe everybody, and I asked The Lord to put a hedge of Angels around all WCN'ers to keep you safe.

Hard to believe you have had so much when we are just starting to get some flurries. Stay safe and hope your power stays on.

Her opening line went exactly like this, "We are here in E-Town and we are finally, FINALLY seeing some flakes. Some little baby flakes starting to fly around here." Man, you have got to be kidding me, right?!? Earlier they had a dude "reporting" from Lyndon Lane. He was driving to various spots around the city searching for those baby flakes. I wonder what those who get snow on a regular basis would think about this? This is really funny and just hammers home the fact that thank God I don't live in Jefferson County. Those pictures my wife sent me that was on Facebook of the Kroger in Mt. Washington was funny as well. Everybody scrambling for the bread and milk. I can MAYBE see the milk but I can definitely live without bread. Walking through the stores would've been fun just to see the look of panic on peoples faces. Panic I tell ya!
I just got home from the Kroger here in Shepherdsville. It reminded me of Toys R Us when I went in there on black Friday. People are insane. We went to the grocery Wednesday and got all of our stuff. I just went out for more bacon, orange juice, cookies, and a six pack of IBC root beer.

I just got a UPS weather report, and they say the heavy stuff will get here around 1. I like their reports because they don't play around with weather, they know their stuff. I have a referee friend I get the reports from.

About what we have. Maybe a tad more. Not snowing hard. Could get the 4" if it snows as long as it is supposed to. The blowing will cause drifts. Going to be the coldest night yet tomorrow? 5 or below Sunday morning

We just got home from the hospital and the Watterson is in good shape. Very light traffic for a Friday.

The snow is just sort of blowing around in the air right now. Not exactly blizzard conditions.

I'm confused... is the worst yet to come in Louisville?

It's POURING here, and the forecast claimed that the worst wasn't supposed to begin until closer to 4:00pm. Strangely, for all the snow that's falling, there doesn't seem to be that much additional accumulation.

I think we have about 5 inches so far in Ripley. Ready to open the first Yuengling I've had in quite some time.
