He just finished his visit to NC state and rumor is he may make a decision in the fall....NC State is still the favorite to land him.

Evan Daniels also threw out a teaser that Kentucky could get four players in the top 10, including Giles.

I feel like with Giles that we're in that period where everybody's like, "Well, maybe he won't go to the school he's been leaning toward all along..." There's always that buffer period, usually a few days before the announcement, where there's some noise about the other side. But 90% of the time the pick holds.

Would love to be wrong. Think he's the best player in the class.

I feel like Giles is a pipe dream at this point, but I also don't think Cal would waste his time with visits if he didn't feel like he stood some kind of chance.

Roberts says that he's heard Cal is in Arkansas today to visit Malik Monk.

Everyone I have spoken to says Cal wants him as much as he has ever wanted any recruit. But, they all still believe he is headed to Duke.

Would maybe be the most surprising decision I can remember if it's anyone other than Duke and Coach K.

Not sure if there's anything to him changing the place of the announcement or not.

My first thought was that since he's announcing in NC Kentucky had no chance. But the change could just reflect a willingness to get the announcement onto ESPN.

From Jerry Meyer - interesting thought and one that actually makes a lot of sense -

Calipari watching Giles could also be viewed as a leveraged move with Jarrett Allen. A five-star big man from Austin, Texas, Allen is visiting Kentucky this weekend while Giles is scheduled to announce November 14.

If I had to bet I'd say that the staff went out to see Giles simply because he's such a phenom that they'd be remiss if they let Duke have the last crack at him. They did a similar thing with Shabazz Muhammed, and it didn't work.

Don't think this one is going to work either but you have to make a run if you feel like there's any doubt at all.

Could you just imagine if Cal pulled the impossible and landed Fox, Monk, and Giles to finish out this class, man that would sure get the haters going.

Don't get me wrong, I would still be thrilled with Fox, Monk, and Allen.
