If Jayson Tatum goes to St. Louis, then I will burn the bleep out of some popcorn and eat it.

As much as I want this kid, I really feel like it has been between Duke and SLU for awhile, and so I am pulling for SLU. It will really surprise me if he does pick SLU though, but after the last few months of recruiting announcements, there is really nothing that will surprise me. All the twitter chatter is saying he will announce any day now.

Supposed to announce tomorrow morning. But all signs point to Duke.

First part of the Tarum/Giles combo to Duke is done. Giles should follow shortly.

K is on quite a role...wow. 2-3 years ago I thought he was done. Still clearly the best in the business

How exactly is he "clearly the best in the business?"

Would love to hear an argument that Coach K isn't the best. I can't stand him, but if he's not the best I'd like to know who is.

I guess it comes down to your definition of "best". Are you talking most wins, best x and o coach, most national championships, most ncaa appearances, most players in the NBA or the total package. Will be interesting to see how this discussion progresses.

Cal has four final fours in the last five years including a national title and national title game. He has had, what, six number 1 classes in a row? How many players has coach K had drafted in the last six years compared to Cal? I think all those are pretty solid arguments. I would also be curious to see the total wins since Cal has been here. Coach K is "clearly the best in the business" because he got a good recruit instead of us and you blow everything out of proportion on a negative level. Exactly what has Coach K done better than Cal in the last six years? I would love to hear THAT argument.

It's been said before, and it's being said now by yahoos on KSR (none of which is me, BTW), but that loss to Wisconsin will hurt Cal until he either wins another, or until Duke stumbles with a load of talent that attracts as much attention.

That loss, despite how much we may want to praise Wisconsin, moreover the WAY it was lost, was damaging.

UK should have won last year. They were the best team.

Even with the draft evidence, I think the title weighs more.

It hurt him so much he is bringing in another top rated class and returning arguably the best PG in the country...

I thought is Tatum picked SLU we might've had a shot at Giles...no chance now.

2 of the past 6 national champions is a really good start to THAT argument. And the totals for the past 6 years are Duke 185-36 = 83.7%, UK 190-38 =83.3%.

In regards to this whole Coach K and Cal debate, easy to sip the Kool Aide and point to Cal but K gets the nod because of his Championships. I guess this is why i get so damned ticked off at Cal even though he does great things about 95% of the time. With Cal, i just get the feeling that if he would TIGHTEN UP his X's and O's he could be hands down the very best coach in the business. Cal's teams just seem to choke at wrong time.................
