    Who's left??

OK, another post from the completely out of the loop fan. We just lost Brown, Newman, Zimmerman and Diallo. Other than Maker, who's left?

No realistic options....it is what it is, gotta move forward with what UK has. No idea how this roster gets to 60 points a game, who plays the 3, who backs up the 5 spot, or what happens if there is an injury (4 straight years with season ending injuries) or eligibility issues.

Poythress and Nerlens, yeah, but calling Willie's ankle injury "season ending" is a bit of a stretch when there were only two (three?) games left in the season, anyway. Who's the fourth?

I agree that it's time to accept the situation and move on. We might luck up and land Murray, but after the way things have gone I'm not going to get my hopes up. Maybe that three-star from Charlotte will sign up.

I was kind of hoping Cal was going to land the kid that ended up at Nc State. Once again, a day late and a dollar short...........

Oh well, what is Dakari Johnson thinking smh????

I think the 3 star signed with Nc State. If i am not mistaken, he made a committment and Cal made a last minuted push by offering a scholarship but it the kid had already made up his mind....

You're thinking of the other three-star we grasped for in desperation - Shaun Kirk, I believe was his name. The guy I'm talking about was the 7-footer who supposedly had 4 ft. long arms, a 44" vertical and could shoot the three.

Oh, i thought that was actually the Kirk kid. Well hell yeah, the kid you are talking about is the onei have been hoping that Cal would take a chance on. He is someone that will stick around and can be developed over time. If Alex and Skal play 4 and 5, Lee can rotate the 4 and 5 spot and this kid could be a body if needed.

KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED ON THE 6'10 GUY WITH THE 44 INCH VERTICAL.

Well Cal finally did it. He convinced all of these kids that UK isn't for everybody. His BS finally came back to bite him.

I agree with you in some ways, but it's not BS. It's definitely a fact that this place will eat certain kinds of people up.

That was the case long before Cal got here. The whole Larry Bird situation had to do with this; Joe B. didn't want to even recruit Bird because he was convinced Bird would just get steamrolled in Lexington. Quiet kid, backwards, awkward--they begrudgingly went on a visit to French Lick, but they were seriously worried about what UK would do to his psyche.

But I agree that Cal's talking points may have gotten in the way of this class. I think the "This place isn't for everybody" thing is about creating a kind of exclusivity around UK; they're trying to make it special. But when you start losing recruits to Cal, you're definitely dealing with kids who may not want that kind of spotlight.

                          The SMU connection is interesting.

Jerry Meyer says Kentucky is serious about Vick. It's to the point now that it's not totally about getting guys in here who can help significantly on the court. This team just needs practice bodies.

Ebuka Izundu, the player mentioned above that Kentucky gave a cursory look at, just committed to Miami.

LaGerald Vick doesn't even visit UK as scheduled and commits to KU.

Cal can't even reel in 4 star guys this spring.

I am starting to think its something other than this class just being odd. Seems like there has to be more to this.

UK and Cal have become a joke in college basketball since losing to Wisconsin. Every team's fan base just roasting UK and Calipari.
