    Very true, DVZ.

I predict we'll lose Knox, Vanderbilt, and Diallo for sure. But can also see Gabriel, Richards, and maybe one of Green/Alexander going too. Then we'd be in a situation we're more accustomed to, but still would have some coming back. Love the fact we got TWO top 50 PGs this year. Thats really important for the future IMO.

Barring a crazy letdown, I'd agree that Knox and Diallo are almost certainly one-and-done.

Vanderbilt has the tools, but he may not have a fully-functioning foot. We're going to be on injury watch all season long with that kid, and I guarantee the NBA already knows that, too. Even a great season could be spoiled by injury concerns come draft time.

Rash as this may be, Gabriel may never be an NBA player. He has the size and the motor, and I think the skill's there, but for some reason he doesn't strike me as a pro. He may turn that around next year - has to if we're going to be successful - but I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Wenyen becomes a three- or four-year role player.

Richards, well... you can't teach his size and athleticism. Sometimes its as simple as that - especially to NBA scouts.

And strange as it may sound, I think Green could start all season long and still be lower than Alexander on the draft boards. Green's going to struggle, and coupled with his size, I think he stays for at least two years. Alexander, on the other hand, could be one of the steals of the class, and his measurables will be attractive to a lot of pro teams.

It's very hard to make these judgments before the season. We just don't know what we've got or how much they can improve.

Clearly we need at least a couple to go or else nobody is going to be cleared for the next crop of freshmen. I mean I love Immanuel Quickley but you're not sure how that situation develops if Green doesn't end up on NBA radars.

I think Kentucky is strong with Bol Bol and Zion, but after that it's unclear. I know they really covet Reddish and obviously Bagley, but not sure how those situations unfold if we don't have the one-and-dones we normally have so the roster opens up a little. Romeo Langford remains a total mystery.

Cal has a real shot at forming some strong relationships with a lot of these guys this summer in the U19 thing. I've read that at this stage in the process we're in as good a shape as you'd hope to be in with Bagley. Reddish, on the other hand, seems like a major long shot. Duke's in that driver's seat and has been for a while.

Maybe a few bumps in the SEC but again, we will be the favorite to win the league and we will do that. Who else can win the SEC? Auburn? Ole Miss? Lol. We'll be fine with our #1 recruiting class people. Get Johnson or Diallo and we'll be as strong as they come.
The SEC will be much improved this year. Bama, Missouri are bringing in some really talented freshmen. Florida, Vandy, MSU, Auburn and Arkansas should field decently good teams, too. Winning the SEC is no guarantee this year. I honestly think well get 6 teams in. College basketball is looking at a down year overall, and the SEC has the chance to capitalize on that.

Im putting Bagley, Langford, and Williamson at the top of my wish list for next year. Reddish is good but Zion is going to be a superstar and will absolutely put on a show at Rupp. And like you said, Duke appears to be in the drivers seat for Reddish. That only helps our chances with Zion.

What we've seen out of Williamson is amazing, but I'm tempering my excitement about him until I see him do something other than dunk.

Hoping Cal makes a hell of an impression on Langford during the U19 stuff, because we seem to be behind Louisville and Duke right now.

Bagley, well. Of course we want Bagley. 247 says we're in good shape, but who knows? It looks like another case of UK vs. the west coast.

And don't forget about Quickley. He's going to be an excellent point guard, and is probably under-ranked at the moment.

Yeah the west coast kids always worry me. We've not done too great in picking up the elite talent from California/Arizona area.

I think Zion is a more complete player than a lot of us realize. Think its an issue of they mainly focus on his dunks because they're too electrifying not to. Kid seems to have a good handle and passing ability for his size. And Cal would turn him into a rebounding machine. Think his biggest weakness would probably be defending wings with elite speed or really tall bigs and maybe his jumpshot, but he's so special in other areas, that's really just nit-picking.

I don't see how Langford chooses Louisville with the crap that they're going through right now. Just hard for me to imagine. I mean we've never lost to Louisville on an elite-level kid under Cal where we were really pursuing him that I can remember. I guess the U19 games will be a great litmus test to see where we stand. Like I said in the other post, he will be a player we need the most in next years class...we should be pretty well covered at all the other spots. And I cant think of another SG that Cal is recruiting in next years class, either. Looks like theres a huge drop off after Langford....the next highest rated SG according to 24-7 is Keldon Johnson at 19 who doesnt seem to have any big name programs going after him. Theres only 3 SGs ranked in the top 30.

And yeah, forgot to mention I agree with Quickley. He looks really impressive with what Ive seen. Think hes the only confirmed PG that Cal has offered in that class, though some say the kid from Louisiana may have one? Watched an interview of him, he seemed to really like UK. But Quickley is clearly the priority.

Grimes, too, but he's a strong Kansas lean.

I hope you're right about the UofL stuff. Could eventually help them, if recruits/parents think they've cleaned up their program, but that could also mean Pitino might not be there any longer, and then they may not be in the hunt for those kids in the first place. Either way, none of that will happen by the time Langford commits, so here's hoping he wants to stay away from that toilet bowl.

And the SG issue is one reason why I'm still wishing we'd landed Cam Johnson. Two years of eligibility would've been perfect.
