Good article. Both sound like they will fit in to Cal's team first coaching.

Here's the report card for every player in the game.
I unfortunately forgot about the game so I saw none of it. But Nassir Little--UNC commit--was probably the story of the week and of the game. He took home the MVP. Keldon Johnson gets an A on this report card, Quickley gets a C. From the Twitter reactions there wasn't a whole lot going on in this game, which may mean that the talent level is a little lower on the whole this year.
Zion hurt his thumb at the end of the game. My friend at work says it looked like a pretty gnarly injury.

Thanks for posting. I didn't realize Vandy had this many MDAA's, and if they get Langford could be a powerhouse.John 3:3

Zion is seeing a specialist today to assess the extent of his hand injury.
I was kind of shocked at how the game seemed too fast for Zion. He's a freak athlete, but he really needs to shed weight if he wants to be a real impact guy next year.
Keldon Johnson is going to be a stone cold fan favorite. Quickly was sort've just there.
Nassir Little was fantastic. Had heard little about him, suspect that we will hear a LOT going forward.Comment

I watched a couple of his high school games and noticed this even at that level. When he didn't have room to get a head of steam and attack the glass at full speed, his game was a little underwhelming.
Yeah, I know. Sour grapes. But I say that as objectively as possible.Comment

And if he still has a functioning thumb.
Did you see his hand right after he lifted it off the ground? His palm was facing the floor, but his thumb was pointed toward the ceiling. It's gross.Comment

Even though Quade didn't impress me this season, I hope he sticks around for continuity and the off chance that he becomes what Will and KC think he will become.Comment

I think Cal is grooming Green to be Dom Hawkins. If he accepts that role, by his junior and senior year he will be invaluable.Comment

Agree.
Think he has more upside than Hawkins because he's a better ballhandler and I think he can score in the paint when he gets stronger.
But he has that same kind of bulldog intensity. If Hagans is as good as advertised then Quade is going to have to fight for PT next year, though (assuming Hagans chooses Kentucky, and with 300 schools recruiting him he won't be easy to land). Won't be easy to get on the court. Knox leaving will open up a lot of things if that happens, but I'm not sure Keldon Johnson is a guy we'll take off the court a whole lot. And you hope Herro is at the very least a guy who can be instant offense.
Quade needs to be on the Gerald Fitch route, which is who he reminds me of. Hope he doesn't transfer.Comment
