The timing of this, after Blakeney announced to LSU and Cal went to see Bragg, has to be good for UK.

Was told UK feels good, especially since most thought he would wait to announce. However, Bragg has been very high (at times) on Illinois and KU.

I would think it's really between UK and KU

Matt Jones think it's going to be Illinois or Kansas if he announces this week.

Some of the Rivals guys are saying that there's nothing to the timing of this. Hard for me to believe that it would just be a coincidence.

Matt Jones' thoughts- — I don’t think Carlton Bragg picks UK. He has moved his decision up earlier in the process than a lot of people expected and with the timing, I just don’t think Kentucky is going to be the selection. UK has a lot of big men irons in the fire (Swanigan, Zimmerman still deciding and Skal has committed), along with the uncertainty of who will return from this team (Dakari, Lee, Alex and Trey all possibilities)…after talking with some folks, I just don’t think the timing works for Bragg right now. I suspect he picks Kansas or Illinois.

I also don't think that him announcing this early is good for UK. Too many questions that aren't even close to being answered concerning next seasons roster.

I just hope if it isn't us that it isn't KU!

Gonna be a lot of top kids deciding between UK and KU in this class, and I hope the pundits are wrong because a lot of them have most of them picking KU. I can't think of any other
top recruits that are gonna decide before the spring, which in my opinion is important for UK.

That was something trying to tell him "you better pick Kentucky!" I didn't really want him anyway. I'd rather have Jaylen Brown and Malik Newman. Briscoe and Newman in the backcourt would be fun to watch. They have us getting Calib Swanigan. I'm not big on him. Looks like Dakari version 2.0, maybe.
