Just glad they pulled it out. Thought they took the air out of ball too early.

I not forgetting that but the guards he faced up until then where not as fast as the UConn guards. He can't defend against fast guards. I not crushing him for that it is just the way it is. Iam glad he is on our team and he will lead back to the championship game.Comment

I'm proud of you my friend. You saw what we all saw and aren't afraid to speak up. In particular I want to know why the elbow to Ulis's eye was not a foul. He was in perfectly legal guarding position and took an elbow above the shoulders. I believe that, by the rules, that is automatically a foul........it has been since that rule was adopted (until today) and has been called against UK several times. The UL player could have chosen a different way of getting away from being close guarded knowing he did not have clearance to swing the ball through without making contact. I say flagrant 1 should have been called. Tyler was penalized for playing good defense.

I think we are being reminded of what Cal knew even last year....the Harrisons are small forwards. Really small in today's game. They handle the ball well for their size, but Ullis would seem to be the true point guard on the team. The twins have the size and bulk to post up smaller guards, but true college guards (UCONN) give them fits.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming weeks. To see if the twins answer the challenge and work on at least their effort or if they continue to have those pouty streaks that are so maddening. LOL....one writer tweeted that the UL guards just made the Harrisons juniors.....they as of now are not ready for the next step.
Of course, I seldom think many of the players are.👍 1Comment

Did anyone get a look at the shot Booker took going into the UL bench? KSR has it up, and it's looks pretty bad at the bad angle.
A better angle, and it might just be some time off for the UL guy.
I watched it a few more times, and... I might just have to look away, a bit. Kinda looked like Booker made an extra wide sweep with his right arm "for balance". I'm just trying to be fair. Sure looked like it.

Nobody played well defensively that game but this team is dramatically better than that team on D. Louisville isn't a great shooting team but 26% FG's and 21% from the 3 is flat out sick. Especially on their home court!!Comment

^^^I absolutely, positively agree Will. Add that to Jones' flop, and those incidents tell you all you need to know about UL basketball. Always a pleasure to beat them. They're one team that makes me sick. Always have been.Comment

Jay Bilas was not hyper critical of that most obvious flop. You don't think it has anything to do with the propensities of his alma mater, do you?

Yeah the Jones flop was crazy, but what was worse was the 5-minute-long jaw flexing afterward. It was like he'd convinced himself that he had been elbowed.
Psychological flopping.👍 1Comment
