^ Remember when Team Nike beat us, and in a different season Athletes in Action took us to OT? I think Teddy Dupay played for them. Yes, Teddy Dupay from Florida.

Hell I would rather see the Globetrotters than see us play a Jr. High.

What about D league teams? Is that against the rules too?

I turned it off once we hit 100. Exhibition games are brutal. Bring on the real games!

My biggest takeaway? Mulder is gonna have a role this year. I didn't think it would happen but he has talent. He can shoot it for sure.

Still would like to see Bam get in the post some to see if we can feed it in there, but the competition has been so low in the exhibitions we couldn't really work on it.
Amazing reference regarding Grinnell Collegle. LMAO!!!!! Wasn't sure if ANYONE knew about them. My daughter went there when she graduated from DuPont Manual in '93. Beautiful, amazing school directly surrounded by disgusting hog farms!!!!

I think we saw a game last night of what it would look like if WCN suited up five of us and played UK. Except I don't think we could score 63 points.

Obviously nothing came from this game. Nothing much you could tell except they could can dunk really well. Fox is really fast and no one had better try to run and gun with this team or it will be brutal.

I think Fox could have scored a 100 by himself. Asbury would have made Moses happy in the way they parted themselves when UK went into the lane. No one wanted apiece of any UK player when they got close to the lane.

Mulder did look good. I think he could get some meaningful minutes this year if can shoot the three well.

                  Now for Crazzed moment:

How could Cal let a 102 point lead dwindle to 93!!!! I just don't understand him playing the the three walk ons the last 8 minutes. What was he thinking!!! Just awful. Had chance to win by over 100 and blew it! This team won't go anywhere! They are finished!!

Ok, now back to to your regular programming.

Next game is for real. Stephen F Austin comes to Rupp Friday night. If you remember SFA got to the Sweet 16 last season in the NCAA's. They were good. But they did lose their best player and their coach is now at OK State. So they probably aren't as good but it should be a much better test than last night.

I"m sure it is. Those games against AIA and even the foreign teams were better. I really don't know why the NCAA wouldn't let D-1 teams play a couple of scrimmage games against each other. More backward thinking by them.

I actually didn't think it was boring. It was sort of like watching a car wreck. You just couldn't keep your eyes off of it.

I can't believe we let them score 63 points. With that kind of defense we won't make it past the first weekend in March. So much for being the gold standard. I thought this year would be different.

No. Can't see him ever playing significant minutes at Kentucky.

People might bring up Jorts, but Jorts was different. Big, physical, could shoot the ball from outside. Humphries is the one who reminds you of Jorts. Wynyard is well behind every other big on this team, and that's understating it.

This is still really hazy to me even though I like how Mulder will scrap.

Cal talked about this in the postgame press conference last night. Said that he was still trying to figure out who gets the minutes between Hawkins and Mulder. I think our guards are so good that it's just going to be one of those guys who plays, and Cal loves Hawkins' defensive ability.

We went through the exhibition season with very little idea of how the rotation is going to shake out. Obviously we have a top four, but behind that you have Willis/Gabriel and then Killeya-Jones, who he's playing as a 4 most of the time alongside Humphries. Isaac is clearly going to get some run, but Bam is so good and so valuable that Cal will ride him as long as humanly possible.

This is clearly the second deepest team Cal has had here behind the Superteam.

I was there. Tubby got killed for that but that Athletes in Action team had a bunch of college all-stars. Couple of guys who'd had NBA careers. They were no joke.

The Pump Brothers and UConn put an end to that.

(Side note: I was on Twitter last year sometime and noticed I had a new follower. When I clicked I saw that it was Dana Pump. No idea what that was about.)

Of course everyone is different but I would rather us play someone who could beat us in preseason. Would almost prefer a loss that doesnt count as a learning tool. Otherwise its just a show like BBM.
