Nahh, UofL promised WKU a visit a year or two ago and backed out. This one was to make up for the backout. I think Western promised to visit UofL several times in exchange for a UofL visit. I imagine the Petrino thing didn't help from a hospitality standpoint.

I talked to WKU Coach Ray Harper yesterday at the KBG, and he was really upset with Pat Adams, the official who was hurt in the skirmish. I couldn't believe the officials there changed the T on Harrell to a flagrant 1, which would not carry a suspension. So glad the ACC stepped up and made it a Flagrant 2 with a 1 game suspension. There could possibly be a suspension for the officiating crew.

Thanks for the inside info! Par Adams is just a horrible offcial. He did an awful job in the UNC game in particular. He needs to be suspended for year.

The call on the floor was already a flagrant 2 which calls for ejection. The ACC had the option to review and apply further punishment and they did. I think this is the right call all the way around. He did deserve to be ejected and I think he did deserve a further one game suspension. What I don't think he deserved was the "fighting punishment" which includes the ejection and one game suspension, but further carries a "double secret probation" A player on double secret probation stands the risk of being suspended for the remainder of the season for further altercations.

I don't think Harrell will last out the game. Kicked out or fouled out - it's all the same to me.

Right now my biggest concern is the officiating crew. Sorry Lighthouse but there it is. Anyone know who they are?

Would it have been a one game suspension if UK had been their next game? Just thinking out loud.

Under Tom Jurich anything the UL Athletic department does is no surprise. Jurich even got Bobby Petrino back at UL after he left them for Arkansas. As far as the UL-WKU game goes WKU was holding their own with the Cards which Louisville's players and coach didn't appreciate. It looked to me like Harrell through the punch first.

No way does the flagrant carry a suspension if UK was the next opponent. TV ratings means dollars to these administrators and don't let anyone tell you different.
