I agree that the postseason ban last year is maybe all they get, though I wouldn't be surprise to see Pitino have to take a Boeheim-like suspension for a few games this year.

If the NCAA just accepts the self imposed ban as the punishment then something is wrong. It happened in the off season, and that wouldnt be much of punishment for it. Schools will be able to get away with anything and go well we self impose ban our self and NCAA accept it. Should be a rule in place that only NCAA or proper authorities can do the punishment, cause if not then its a defense all schools will use and get off easy and maybe not saying 100% end up doing it again.👍 1 -
That's all talk aimed at the NCAA. He's trying to use his HOF status to influence the outcome. Probably taking lessons from Williams and Kre..........John 3:3

NCAA alleges major violations against McGhee and Pitino. No "lack of institutional control" charge, however.
Looks like they've laid most of it at the feet of McGhee. Pitino will probably get a suspension that they'll appeal.

Second-biggest takeaway from the Louisville NOA: Gut feeling is Louisville's self-imposed sanctions will be largely sufficient.
