If I am not mistaken in this state you can be charged with a DUI if you have the keys and are closer than 50 feet to the vehicle.

I saw that this morning. Although there's "not much to see", it's still bad for Willis. I realize he put himself in that situation, but I don't believe it was necessary for the video to be released, unless there were questions of ill treatment by officers, or Willis was being belligerent and combative.
I feel bad for him.
I will say that it seems to clarify that he was behind the wheel at some point - unless he was at a party in the neighborhood and was walking to his car.
There's drunk and then there's DRUNK. When someone is caught the first time, it's typically not the first time they've been drunk in such a situation.
If he indeed has a problem, I hope he gets help. Cal needs to work that end of it first and then discipline later.

Only fear you have is that this is a common thing with him. It seems like normal college-kid behavior, but you never know.
It's not good for him either way for many reasons. The fight for PT next year is going to be pretty intense, and Cal won't reward experience just because. Cal beat on Josh Harrellson for months because of a tweet. I suspect he'll use this as a reason to give Wenyen Gabriel a shot early in the season.Comment

Well, that video was bad. I get the impression he either drove or was trying to. Either way, he is lucky and so are people that are on the road that could have been affected by him if he had driven.
I would suspend him several games. I don't give a rat's butt whatsoever about all the rhetoric of being a college kid. He is not a normal college kid. He is a high profile UK player and I guarantee you he and the others have been lectured more than once about putting your self in these situations. And he is a Senior. Grow up. If he has a problem, get him help. If he is just being a dumbass, then sit him down and let him stew on it.
My hope is this is a one time stupid brain fart and not something he's accustomed to. I trust Cal to deal with it properly and I cannot believe he is all that thrilled with him at the moment.Comment

Pictures and videos resonate much more than just reading about something bad. The Ray Rice episode is a prime example. This was pretty bad and it should be very embarrassing to Willis and it embarrases anyone associated with him him. It certainly looks like he had been driving. So everyone was very lucky he didn't go very far. I couldn't blame Cal if he suspended him until January. Also so much for Willis being a senior leader. I don't think any of his teammates will have real respect for him now. This is not a good way to get the 16-17 season underway.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment
