CBS sports is reporting Stalings has been offered the head coaching job at Pitt and he is expected to accept. I would say he would be wise to accept it.

I must say I'll be surprised if he takes the job. He must have had other offers down through the years. I figured he'd retire at Vandy.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

Coach Stallings may not be the worse coach in college bb, but if Pitt wants to be relevant I don't know why they'd consider him unless they can't do any better.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

Hadn't realized he had been at Vanderbilt 17 years. He had some decent teams at Vandy, but always seemed like his teams underachieved. In any event, Pitt fans aren't gonna be happy and it's hard to see him succeeding in the ACC with the record he had in the SEC.Comment

I think Stallings will do a decent job at Pitt. He should be able to recruit just fine. Both Dixon and Stallings always under achieved in the NCAA tourney and I believe that Stallings will probably continue to under achieve.Comment

Good riddance, just don't like the guy. I don't know what Pitt is thinking, but without Vandy's academic standards, he might recruit better players? But, who cares?Comment
